Operating systems for electronically actuated firearms
There is disclosed herein systems, methods and apparatus relating to a firearm with an operating system for electronically firing the firearm to fire projectiles from the firearm. The operating system includes an electronic firing system with a switch that is actuated by pulling the trigger of the firearm.
Firearm
A firearm has a barrel, a trigger, a bolt assembly and a magazine well with a longitudinal direction, in which a magazine is movably accommodated in the longitudinal direction. A manually actuable slide is movable substantially transversely to the longitudinal direction. The slide engages on a driver connected to the magazine and moves the driver with the magazine from a safety position into a feed position.
Pistol
Pistols have a frame, a firing facility operable to discharge the pistol, a safety device connected to the frame and having a safe condition in which discharge is disabled and an operable condition in which discharge is enabled, an actuator responsive to the presence of a safety-indicating element and operative to control the condition of the safety device such that the safety device is in the safe condition when the safety-indicating element is absent and in the operable condition when the safety-indicating element is present, a selector connected to the frame and operably connected to the safety device, and the selector being movable between an enabled position in which the safety device is operably responsive to the presence and absence of the safety-indicating element, and a disabled position in which the safety device remains in the operable condition irrespective of the presence and absence of the safety-indicating element.

FIREARM GRIP WITH SELECTOR SWITCH LOCK
A firearm grip with selector switch lock includes a handgrip for engaging a firearm receiver having a selector switch. A switch engagement unit is positioned within the handgrip. The switch engagement unit including a motor, piston, spring and detent for selectively engaging the selector switch of the receiver to which the handgrip is located. An RFID interrogator is positioned within the handgrip and communicates with a portable RFID chip. Upon detecting the presence of the RFID chip, the switch engagement unit moves the piston to the retracted position for manual free operation of the selector switch. Upon detecting the RFID chip is not within the proximity of the handgrip, the switch engagement unit moves the piston to the extended/SAFE position. A replacement selector switch having a torque limiter is provided.

FIREARM GRIP WITH INTEGRATED LOCKING MECHANISM
A firearm grip with locking mechanism includes an elongated handgrip body having an elongated opening on the front side and a generally hollow interior space. A pair of doors are pivotally secured to the handgrip body to move between a closed position, and an open position. A firearm engagement body is pivotally secured along the top end of the handgrip body for attachment to a firearm receiver at a location adjacent to the trigger assembly. The handgrip body moves between a FIRE position where the handgrip body is positioned perpendicular to the engagement body, and a SAFE position where the handgrip body is positioned parallel to the engagement body and the firearm trigger assembly is located within the interior space of the handgrip body.
