DEVICE AND METHOD FOR LOCKING AND CONTROLLING A WEAPON
Some aspects of the invention are related to a locking device for a firearm and a method of controlling such a locking device. The locking device may include a locking cartridge adapted to be inserted into a firing chamber of the firearm, the locking cartridge may include a cartridge-like housing and a locking mechanism located in the cartridge-like housing. In some embodiments, when the locking mechanism is in an unlocked state, the locking mechanism may be extractable from the firearm's firing chamber, by cocking the firearm and when the locking mechanism is in a locked state, cocking the firearm may fasten the locking mechanism in the firearm's firing chamber. The locking device may further include an actuator adapted to change the state of the locking mechanism between the locked state and the unlocked state and a controller, in active communication with the actuator, configured to operate the actuator according to a signal received from an input device. In some embodiments, the locking cartridge, the actuator and the controller are extricable from the firearm together as a single unit.

Firearm safety device
A firearm safety device purposed to obstruct the chamber of a firearm to block insertion of a cartridge therein, effectively disabling the firearm. In embodiments, the firearm safety device comprises a plug and a key. The plug may be sized for fitting within the chamber of essentially any firearm. The plug may be inserted into and removed from the firearm through the breech end of the chamber, thereby lessening both wear on the plug and potential damage to the firearm resulting from plug insertion or removal. The key interacts with the plug for easy positioning of the plug within the chamber and pulling removal of the plug out from the breech end of the chamber. Unauthorized removal of the plug is difficult without the key. The safety device enables repeated cycling of the action and dry firing of the firearm enabling the firearm to be handled safely for uses such as for retail sale purposes and for firearm use and safety training.

Lock
A lock has improved protection against lock picking. The lock comprises plural tumblers, each generally cylindrical in form with outer and inner circumferential edges, all the tumbles arranged on a common axis. The outer circumferential edge of each tumbler having a single true gate, including a void extending a predetermined distance toward the axis and plural false gates, each having a void of lesser extent. Ridges separates the true gate from adjacent false gates, and separate adjacent false gated from each other. The lock also includes a sheath contacting the inner circumferential edges of the tumblers. The sheath includes ridges located to maintain the tumblers in contact with each other.

Safety round
A firearm safety round configured to function as a safety round for the following firearms: SAR 21—Singapore Assault Rifle-21st Century and M-16 rifle. The safety round includes a cylindrical rear end having a rim, a mid-section adjacent the rear end opposite the rim, the mid-section comprises a truncated cylinder having opposite flat sides, a tab extending outwardly from the mid-section and configured so that when the safety round is received by the firing chamber, the tab will extend out of the firing chamber to visually indicate that the firing chamber of the firearm is free of live ammunition and a cylindrical nose portion extending from the mid-section, opposite from the rear end and longitudinally aligned therewith. When the safety round is installed in the firing chamber of the firearm, one of the flat sides rests on the firing chamber and positions the rim in alignment with the extractor, and the flat sides configure the mid-section so that a largest dimension of the mid-section is smaller than a height of the extraction port of the firearm.
