Smart-gun enablement device systems and methods
One aspect includes a smart-gun enablement device. The smart-gun enablement device can communicate with a plurality of smart-guns via a network; configure each of the smart-guns of the plurality of smart-guns from a checked-in state to a checked-out state; and configure each of the smart-guns of the plurality of smart-guns with a set of functionality parameters while the smart-gun is in the checked-out state.
HANDGUN SAFETY DEVICE AND METHOD
A handgun safety device comprising a safety element with a firing interrupting element configured for snug projection between a face of a duty cartridge and a fore end of a functional firing element, said safety element being articulated at a first end of a cord having a full length, with a second end configured for attaching to an article worn by a user.
INTEGRATED SAFETY APPARATUS AND DYNAMIC PROTECTION ZONE SYSTEM
System for activating an on-firearm locking system of a firearm in a firearm safety apparatus and dynamic variable protection system. A determination may be made that a firearm with an on-firearm locking system is within a predetermined distance of a target affixed with a transmitter/receiver safety device. The firearm may be tracked while the firearm is within the predetermined distance of the target. A no-shoot arc for the firearm may be calculated for the firearm and a command may be sent to activate the on-firearm locking system of the firearm when the firearm is within a no-shoot zone surrounding the target to prevent the firearm from being fired into the no-shoot zone.
LOCK SYSTEM
The invention relates to a lock system for a firearm having an arrangement composed of at least two lever arms; in a manner similar to a toggle lever, the lever arms are connected to an axle or shaft in articulating fashion; the resulting toggle lever can be pivoted to both sides of a dead point in which the arrangement is maximally extended; and one of the lever arms is embodied as a hammer for a firing pin.

Non-Contact Electro-Magnetic Actuator and Method
A rifle or portable firearm assembly (e.g., 310) configured to work with user-actuable sensors and systems (e.g., S1-S4), comprises a removable receiver assembly 312 attached to and responsive to a trigger assembly 50 which are removably received in a stock or chassis 316 having a middle section 324 with a trigger motion sensing sidewall segment with at least one trigger motion sensor (e.g., 340L, 340R) which does not physically contact or attach to the trigger assembly and is instead spaced from every component of the trigger assembly when the receiver is installed in said stock or chassis. The trigger motion sensor is configured to sense, from a selected standoff distance, without contacting or interfering the trigger assembly in any way, at least one of (a) the trigger's first stage movement or (b) actuation of a safety lever, and generate a trigger motion sensed signal in response thereto.
Toolless firing pin and striker removal system
A toolless slide backplate for a firearm that comprises an extractor lock and a striker assembly lock. The extractor lock is dimensioned to cover and contact an extractor plunger when installed, and is held in place via an interplay with the extractor plunger. The striker assembly lock is dimensioned to cover the striker components when installed. The striker assembly lock covers the trigger connector of the frame of the firearm such that a disassembly opening is not required.

Balanced rotating drop safety
A safety for a firearm has a blocking lever with an arresting lobe that engages a plunger. The arresting lobe and plunger are statically counterbalanced about a pivot axis by a counterbalance lobe on the blocking lever. The blocking lever is movable between a safe position, where it engages and prevents motion of a firing element, and a fire position, where it cannot engage the firing element. A cam, moved by the trigger, moves the plunger, which moves the blocking lever from the safe to the fire position to permit discharge of the firearm upon further pull of the trigger.
