Smart-gun systems and methods
One aspect includes a method of configuring a smart-gun that includes maintaining a smart-gun in an unlocked configuration, where the smart-gun is operable to file, in response to a first unlock ping being received at the smart-gun; determining by the smart-gun that a second subsequent unlock ping has not been received within a timeout limit; and configuring the smart-gun from an unlocked configuration to a locked configuration, where the smart-gun is inoperable to fire, in response to the determining that the second subsequent unlock ping has not been received within the timeout limit.

OPERATING SYSTEM FOR SMALL CALIBER RIFLES
A weapon system is provided. The weapon system includes a receiver and an operating group. The operating group includes a bolt at least partially housed within the receiver; an operating rod (op-rod) assembly arranged to axially translate within the bolt. The operating group also includes a carrier assembly, a bolt assembly, and a recoil assembly. The system further includes a hinge or pivot joint at a connection between the recoil assembly and the carrier assembly, a firing pin lock, an elastomeric cone interface between the bolt assembly and the receiver, a hollowed out piston, and/or tapering on the lug of the bolt assembly.

Balanced Rotating Drop Safety
A safety for a firearm has a blocking lever with an arresting lobe that engages a plunger. The arresting lobe and plunger are statically counterbalanced about a pivot axis by a counterbalance lobe on the blocking lever. The blocking lever is movable between a safe position, where it engages and prevents motion of a firing element, and a fire position, where it cannot engage the firing element. A cam, moved by the trigger, moves the plunger, which moves the blocking lever from the safe to the fire position to permit discharge of the firearm upon further pull of the trigger.

Trigger assembly for a firearm
Trigger assemblies for firearms, such as pistols, that include a striker assembly with a spring-loaded firing pin and downwardly-protruding firing pin flag for interaction with the trigger assembly. The trigger assemblies include a trigger, a trigger spring, a trigger bar with a connector protrusion for cooperation with a connector that can be inserted into the trigger housing, and the trigger bar is formed to cooperate with a pawl mount, and a sear is provided to cooperate with the firing pin flag.
Interchangeable firearm safety selector
An interchangeable safety selector, including at least some of a generally cylindrical lock member rotatable between at least a safe and at least one fire position; at least one recess formed in each end of the lock member; and at least two lever members, each lever member having at least one projection mateable with the at least one recess of the lock member, wherein the lever members are interchangeable, and wherein at least one of the lever members is securable to a first end of the lock member via interaction of the at least one projection and the at least one recess.
