Tethered ring and bottle game
11013972 · 2021-05-25 ·

A tethered ring game and kit is disclosed comprising a tethered ring, means of attaching the tether to an overhead surface, and a novel bottle support apparatus configured and designed to hold and constrain an ordinary bottle in a substantially upright position. The bottle holder apparatus is fixated on a wall, post, or structure such that when a bottle is inserted and constrained, it is used in an eye-hand coordination game of chance involving a tethered ring and a bottle as the target. In practice, a ring, which is tethered and hanging from above in a position equidistant between the player and a bottle, is swung in a pendulum movement toward the bottle, which is constrained by the apparatus, in an endeavor to capture the ring over the top or neck of the bottle.

A two-player versus game system which can be completely disassembled and stored for easy storage and transport, and which can quickly be assembled into a functioning game system. The system includes a central tower from which a ring or a ball on a string hangs over the playing area. A scoring element is extended vertically on either side of the player area, one for each player. The base of the container can include score-keeping devices attached thereto, such as sliding beads on a rod for quickly tabulating when a player scores a hook on a ring or a ball in a basket. The scoring elements and the central tower both can all be removed from their respective receivers within the base of the container and laid flat within the container, and the lid can close the container.

INFLATABLE GAME SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE

An inflatable structure with a bottom portion capable of allowing the device to float in a body of water. A vertical tower structure extends upwards away from the bottom portion. Several arms extend away from the top of the vertical tower structure, each ending in an anchor point for receiving a string. At the end of each string is a tossable object. A goal is affixed to the side of the vertical tower structure corresponding with each tossable object. The purpose of the game is to toss the tossable object towards the goal and to hook the ring onto the hook or place the ball within the basket. The entire bottom portion, vertical tower, and arms are made of a single inflatable structure which can be deflated and stored or transported, and inflated to float in the body of water. Drink holders could be contained within the bottom portion.

Toss game apparatuses including a base member, a target hanger system, and a loop target assembly. The target hanger system is selectively mounted to the base member and projects away from the base member. The target hanger system is configured to releasably support a hanging target until the hanging target is struck by a tossed object to release the hanging target. The loop target assembly is selectively mounted to the base member above the target hanger system. The loop target assembly includes a spine, and a cord. The spine extends from the base member. The cord secures to the spine at each terminal end of the cord to define a loop target.

Crashing Bridges is a game which consists of breaking magnet bonded objects with tossed bags. The flat objects, attached to a rectangular open frame, are tenuously connected in the middle of the frame by magnets attached to each corresponding object (e.g. 9 pairs). Crashing Bridges improves on the objective of other lawn games by making the rules of the game simpler to grasp and with no point totals to keep track of. The game is played by each player starting at an agreed upon distance apart (e.g. 10 feet) facing each other with a Crashing Bridges board by their side. Each player takes turns throwing corn or rice filled bags with the intent to break the bridges with the tossed bag, breaking the bond of the paired magnets and dropping the bridge. The player who knocks down all of the bridges first on the opposing players board wins.

A tethered ring and bottle game apparatus and method which includes two basic elements that when combined and mounted to structures in practice are used in a game of chance and skill. The two elements are: an embodiment which supports a bottle either in a free state, cradled, or constrained in a substantially vertical position while fixated above ground level on a vertically erected structure; and an embodiment comprised of a ring and tether assembly having a ring of sufficient size to fit over a bottle opening and is attached, joined, or knotted on one end of a tether, while the other end of the tether is fixated to an overhead support at a position substantially above the bottle height and between the player and the bottle. In method, the ring is swung, tossed, or flipped in a pendulum type of movement relative to the overhead support; and in the direction of the bottle target in an endeavor to capture the ring around the upper proximity of the bottle opening and neck. When the ring is successfully captured around the opening and neck of the bottle, the player has won.
