Sub-mass projectile for a firearm
A sub-mass projectile for a firearm includes a core having a relatively lower mass than a standard projectile for the firearm. A force inducer is associated with the core. The force inducer has an interface that interacts with the firearm. The interface includes a bearing surface with a relatively larger outer diameter than a standard projectile for the firearm. The bearing surface bears against a surface of the firearm during operation so as to increase resistive forces between the sub-mass projectile and the firearm to a magnitude sufficient to approximate the kinetic forces of a standard mass projectile on the firearm during operation.
ENHANCED METAL-METAL-MATRIX COMPOSITE WEAPON BARRELS
Methods of manufacturing metal, metal-matrix, metal-metal-matrix composite weapon barrels offer barrels with improved thermal performance and rigidity with no, minimal or negative weight increase. A barrel may include a barrel core surrounded by a lightweight, thermally conductive sleeve made from metal, metal-matrix composite (MMC) materials, also referred to as metal-matrix material. The barrel core and barrel sleeve may include aligning features to prevent separation and movement of the sleeve along the core. The disclosed methods provide for material combinations and part designs that prevent separation of their parts over the life of the weapon barrel and allow the barrel to perform at high cadence over the whole temperature range the barrel is used.
Firearm silencer assembly and method of use
The disclosed invention provides a method and suppressor assembly that allows a suppressor to be used in combination and interchangeably with a blank firing adaptor. The assembly comprises a muzzle mount, an elongate member, an end cap, an outer tube, and an a blank firing adaptor that is configured to be fastened to the front end of the muzzle mount and disposed within the suppressor.
RECOIL BOOSTER FOR FIREARM SUPPRESSOR
A firearm suppressor with a recoil booster may be provided. In one example, the suppressor may include a housing, a back end member coupled to the housing, and a recoil booster coupled to the back end member. The recoil booster may be configured to couple to a firearm. The recoil booster may include a coil spring, a rear cap coupled to the back end member, and a piston configured to slide relative to the rear cap. The rear cap may include a main body at least partially disposed within the back end member and including a first bearing surface to receive a first end of the spring and a flange extending forward from the main body and maintained within an inner circumference of the spring. The piston may include a second bearing surface configured to receive a second end of the spring. Additional embodiments and related methods are provided.

SUB-MASS PROJECTILE FOR A FIREARM
A sub-mass projectile for a standard, unmodified firearm, comprising a core formed from a malleable core material with at least a portion of the core material being a non-metal material. The core has a lower mass than a standard projectile for the standard, unmodified firearm. The core material has a mass and malleability that generates forces between the sub-mass projectile and the firearm that approximate operational forces of a standard mass projectile on the standard, unmodified firearm during operation.

Noise suppressor for firearm and blank firing adapter for firearm
A noise suppressor for a firearm is provided that can be disassembled and is able to withstand full automatic fire. In various embodiments, a noise suppressor might include an outer tube, a distal end cap, and a pin(s). The outer tube might include a plurality of first holes spaced apart from each other along a circumference of a distal end of the outer tube. The distal end cap might include a plurality of second holes spaced apart from each other along a circumference of the distal end cap. One of the distal end cap or the distal end might be threaded into the other. Each of the pin(s) might be releasably inserted and affixed to at least one first hole and at least one second hole. A blank firing adapter is also provided that can be coupled to the noise suppressor (and can withstand live rounds being fired into it).
