Monocore silencer with integral conical flash hider
09835399 · 2017-12-05 · ·

A muzzle end accessory for a firearm includes features to both suppress sounds and flashes associated with firing of the firearm. The features that provide sound and flash suppression may be formed, at least partially, in a core structure that is interior to the accessory and thus protected from damage by contact with external elements. The core structure may be of a unitary structure, promoting structural integrity and ease of manufacturing.

MUZZLE ATTACHMENT DEVICE

A muzzle brake has a first forward sloping wall and a second forward sloping wall located between a rear wall and a front wall, the first and second forward sloping walls each being disposed at an angle of from about 50 degrees to about 70 degrees relative to the length axis of the muzzle brake; and a top wall and an opposite bottom wall extending parallel to the length axis of the muzzle brake. A first open-sided blast chamber is defined between the rear wall, the first forward sloping wall and the top and bottom walls; a second open-sided blast chamber is defined between the first forward sloping wall, the second forward sloping wall, and the top and bottom walls; and a third open-sided blast chamber is defined between the second forward sloping wall, the front wall, and the top and bottom walls.

Quick disconnect system for muzzle devices
11486670 · 2022-11-01 ·

A quick disconnect system for muzzle devices having a receiver and a clutch assembly. The receiver has a central bore, outer bearing surface, threaded region, tapered shoulder, collar and a plurality of receiver teeth. The receiver teeth are situated around an inner perimeter of a rear-most edge of a third section of the central bore of the receiver. The clutch assembly includes a locking lug mount, clutch ring, spring, and retainer ring. The locking lug mount has a central bore with a non-threaded portion and a threaded portion. A plurality of locking lugs are situated around an outside perimeter of a central portion of the locking lug mount, and each of the locking lugs is configured to fit between two adjacent receiver teeth. The spring is situated between the clutch ring and the retainer ring.

RETRACTABLE SUPRESSOR
20170307322 · 2017-10-26 ·

A variety of apparatuses and associated methods are provided for providing a retractable suppressor system for gas generator systems such as a firearm. One embodiment includes a suppressor system that includes a retractable structure and housing, a fixed baffle, floating baffles, and springs to displace the floating baffles within the suppressor as the suppressor is extended from the housing along a gas generator system, e.g. a barrel of a firearm and thereby enclose the barrel within the suppressor. Embodiments of the invention permit full retraction, partial retraction/extension, or full extension of an exemplary suppressor with respect to an emission section of the gas generator e.g., firearm muzzle. Embodiments of the invention include an external latch which enables an operator to latch or unlatch the suppressor as it moves from one position to another and prevents accidental activation. Embodiments of the invention are configured to operate with accessory mounting systems.

Muzzle adaptation system
11255624 · 2022-02-22 ·

A muzzle adaptation system facilitates the attachment of adaptors to the muzzle of a firearm. A converter is attached to the muzzle of a firearm using existing features such as threads. The adaptors are secured to the converter by a release device that allows the adaptor to be attached without precise alignment or fasteners.

Multiple Flange Crush Washer
20170292806 · 2017-10-12 · ·

One aspect of the present disclosure is directed to a crush washer for a firearm that comprises a ring of material about a center axis having an inner surface towards the center axis and an outer surface away from the center axis, and at least one groove in the inner surface or outer surface. The groove forms: a first flange having an inner surface and an outer surface with a thickness therebetween; a second flange having an inner surface and an outer surface with a thickness therebetween; and a bridge connecting the first flange and the second flange, the bridge having an inner surface and an outer surface with a thickness therebetween. In an undeformed state, the inner surface of the first flange is adjacent to, but spaced apart from, the inner surface of the second flange. In a deformed state, the inner surface of the first flange is closer to the inner surface of the second flange compared to the undeformed state. The thickness of the bridge is less than the thickness of the first flange and less than the thickness of the second flange.
