Active Firearm Recoil Reduction System
The present invention relates to an active system configured to apply an active force to a portion of a firearm designed to contact a body of the firearm's operator, to reduce the perceived recoil of the firearm. The active system includes an actuation element capable of generating an active force, and systems for powering and selectively operating the actuation element.
Grounded and vehicular mounted weapons with improved recoil stability
A counter momentum generator is employed on a weapon system to manage horizontal recoil momentum of the weapon system. The counter momentum generator generates a counter momentum which that is not parallel to the recoil momentum. A horizontal component of the counter momentum negates a portion of the horizontal recoil momentum. A vertical component of the counter momentum combines with the vertical recoil momentum to aid in compression between the base of the weapon system and the ground.

Soft recoil system
One embodiment of a gun configured with soft recoil system comprises a plurality of recoiling parts that initially moves in the direction of the projectile being fired before moving in a direction opposite to that of a projectile during the firing of the round. The soft recoil system throttles the movement of the recoiling parts such that the energy expended during the firing of the round is spread over a longer time period and a longer distance than would normally occur. The soft recoil system stores at least a portion of the energy transferred to the recoiling parts and the user may selectively release at least a part of that portion of energy to offset the energy imparted to the gun during the firing of the next round.

Ecoil Buffer For Machine Gun Mount
Recoil buffers are described that can complete a displacement cycle in about 0.06 seconds or less. The buffer can include two springs and three one-way valves through the piston within the buffer housing or can include a single spring and a one-way shim valve through the piston within the buffer housing.

Firearm with gas-assist recoil operation system
A firearm comprising a barrel assembly, forward receiver, and receiver brake. The barrel assembly comprises a barrel, compression spring, gas tube, and front and rear bushings. The gas tube is situated around the barrel between the front and rear bushings and is not attached to the barrel. The compression spring is situated around the barrel between the front and rear bushings and inside of the gas tube. The front and rear bushings are fixedly attached to the forward receiver. The barrel comprises a gas port that is covered by a gas regulator and is in fluid communication with a gas chamber situated between the front bushing and the gas regulator, which is fixedly attached to the barrel. The receiver brake is fixedly attached to the forward receiver on its distal end.
