Weapon simulation systems

A device can include one or more sensors configured to output sensor data, and a trigger detection module configured to receive the sensor data from the one or more sensors and to determine whether a trigger event has occurred. The trigger detection module can be configured to output a trigger detection signal when the trigger event is detected. The trigger detection signal can be configured to be used by an augmented reality or virtual reality system to cause an augmented reality or virtual reality event.

Muzzle flash simulator

A muzzle flash simulator for use in an airsoft gun, comprising an internal passage, a detector, a controller, and multiple illuminating components. In response to a projectile passing through and away from the internal passage, the simulator will be triggered and flash multi-color lights on a projectile passage in front of the simulator. When each color light is illuminated on the moving projectile at a specific intensity at specified time periods, because of an afterimage phenomenon of the human eye, the surface of the moving projectile reflects the corresponding color and leaves a multi-layered light-trail accordingly.

A visual impairment device includes a power supply, an intense light source having two or more beams of intense light with different peak wavelengths and a wavelength bandwidth less than 50 nm, a modulator and a control circuit. The modulator operates to modulates the two or more beams of intense light to produce a spatial array such that at least one of the beams used to produce the spatial array has the requisite irradiance to cause visual impairment. In some examples, the beams of intense light are laser beams. Also included are methods of using the device to cause visual impairment of an intruder who enters a visual impairment zone created by said device.

A firearm training system includes a firearm, a sensor, a data processor, and a display. The sensor measures and records the motion of the firearm before, during, and after the firearm is shot. In some embodiments, the sensor is located on the firearm. The sensor communicates with the data processor. In some instances this communication is conducted wirelessly. Data regarding the movement of the firearm is analyzed via the data processor and trends are determined. These trends are then correlated with shooting technique deficiencies which can be communicated to a user via the display. In some embodiments, the data processor and display are a single computing device, such as a tablet, smartphone, or laptop.

VISUAL AUGMENTATION SYSTEM EFFECTIVENESS MEASUREMENT APPARATUS AND METHODS

Apparatus and related methods are provided for evaluating effectiveness of a visual augmentation system (VAS), such as night vision goggles (NVGs). The apparatus and methods illustratively measure the response time of the visual augmentation system (VAS) as a function of targeting detection, engagement, and scan angle.

LASER CARTRIDGE FOR DRYFIRE TRAINING
20230194209 · 2023-06-22 ·

This is a cartridge shaped laser dry fire training device that can be inserted into the chamber of a firearm and used for demonstrating where the simulated shots strike during each trigger press of a dry fire practice session when coupled with the DryFireMag training device as disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 9,182,189 B2. The laser dry fire training device preferably is composed of a red diode laser, a set of batteries, and electronic PC board, a lens to allow the infrared light emitted by the diode mounted on a specially designed dry fire training magazine to excite the electronics of the electronic PC board, and two threaded cylinders to house said components.
