The target pattern subset of the plurality of light emitting diodes that are illuminated includes a first light emitting diode. When executed by the processor, the machine readable instructions further cause the firearm simulator target to receive a signal from the first light emitting diode, and determine a target hit location at the first light emitting diode based on the signal received from the first light emitting diode.
