A combined firearm receiver and rail includes a handguard rail and a receiver housing disposed within the handguard rail. The handguard rail includes one of a takedown lug clearance slot, a handguard magazine port, a handguard continuous rail, a handguard ejection port, an attachment location, accessory attachment points, a handguard charging handle latch retaining slot, a charging handle housing, a charging handle guideway, a bolt catch clearance slot, a barrel cavity, a receiver cavity, an exhaust port, and a handguard section. In one variation, the handguard section does not come into physical contact with a barrel or a barrel nut of the firearm.

A laser accessory device comprises a housing having a front side having a port, a rear side opposite the front side, a left side, a right side opposite the left side, a top side, and a bottom side opposite the top side. One or more laser emitters within the housing are configured to emit a beam through the port. A first cover assembly is positioned on the front side, the first cover assembly including a first safety cover and a first frame securing the first safety cover to the housing. The first safety cover is movable between a closed position covering the port and an open position not covering the port.

A gun/hand muff for protecting portions of a gun user's hand, wrist, and/or forearm from the elements is provided. Various examples of a tool-free dust cover for firearms are described. The dust cover is a monolithic piece having a cover plate, a first connection portion, and a second connection portion, with at least one of the first connection portion and the second connection portion being elastically deformable to allow the dust cover to be pivotably coupled to a receiver portion of the firearm. The first connection portion is received in a cavity of a first hinge knuckle on the receiver portion next to a first long side of an ejection port of the receiver portion. The second connection portion is received in a cavity of a second hinge knuckle on the receiver portion next to the first long side of the ejection port. When in an open position, the cover plate uncovers the ejection port. When in a closed position, the cover plate covers the ejection port.

Various examples of a tool-free dust cover for firearms are described. The dust cover is a monolithic piece having a cover plate, a first connection portion, and a second connection portion, with at least one of the first connection portion and the second connection portion being elastically deformable to allow the dust cover to be pivotably coupled to a receiver portion of the firearm. The first connection portion is received in a cavity of a first hinge knuckle on the receiver portion next to a first long side of an ejection port of the receiver portion. The second connection portion is received in a cavity of a second hinge knuckle on the receiver portion next to the first long side of the ejection port. When in an open position, the cover plate uncovers the ejection port. When in a closed position, the cover plate covers the ejection port.

Firearm covers are disclosed. A firearm cover includes a body defining a partially enclosed region sized and shaped to receive a firearm receiver of a firearm. The body includes a first side wall having a first lip and a second side wall opposite the first side wall and having a second lip. The first lip and the second lip define a longitudinal opening to the partially enclosed region. The first side wall and the second side wall define a forward opening to the partially enclosed region and a rear opening to the partially enclosed region such that, when the firearm receiver is operatively received in the partially enclosed region, the firearm extends through the forward opening and the rear opening. The firearm cover further includes structure for restricting the firearm from being fired when the firearm receiver is operatively received in the partially enclosed region.
