Apparatus and methods employing dual triggered feeding of projectiles from plural or multiple magazine clips with multiple interlock features in a rapid fire toy launcher employing a clips carriage mounted for translatable movement using a carriage selector separately positions clips in line for individual projectile feeding and launch. A propelling mechanism receives projectiles from an elongated projectile checking subassembly using a reversible projectile advancing feeder with a gear combination that advances and returns a pusher extension for feeding projectiles through the clips carriage upper portion. The reversible projectile advancing feeder is positioned in the housing forward the inserted magazine clips. Triggers including a propelling mechanism trigger activates a key and a fire key is activated with a fire trigger.

EASY LOADING TOY PROJECTILE LAUNCHER
20190195592 · 2019-06-27 ·

A toy projectile launcher capable of launching a substantially large number of projectiles, for example, toy foam darts. To increase the number of projectiles that can be launched between reloadings, the projectiles are housed in a hopper. The hopper may include a movable rear wall which facilitates the loading of a large number of projectiles into the hopper at one time. A portion of a side wall of the hopper may be agitated to loosen the projectiles within the hopper so that they will drop into a firing chamber of the launcher more easily. A cover for the hopper may have a collapsible ceiling to prevent the projectiles from becoming improperly oriented in the hopper as they are being loosened by the agitated portion of the side wall of the hopper. A rotating track and a push rod may cooperate to advance projectiles from a firing chamber of the launcher.

Projectile Launching Device

A projectile launching device for hunting and target shooting includes a barrel and a driver. A carriage is slidably engaged to a guide rail, with a lower end of the carriage extending through a slot positioned in a bottom of the barrel and extending along the guide rail. The driver is attached to the carriage and extends along the bottom of the barrel toward an open end of the barrel. A pair of first arms is pivotally attached to the barrel proximate to a butt end of the barrel. Each first arm is operationally engaged to the driver distal from the carriage and can be pivoted by user to pivot to charge the driver, which is locked by a catch. A switch attached to the barrel can be switched to discharge the driver to propel a projectile from the barrel.

The moveable spring-loaded firing ram is mounted to the guided track along the interior tube of the cylindrical barrel. A ball is loaded within the cylindrical barrel. A moveable cocking mechanism is disposed on the front end of the firing ram and is engageable by a user. A handle has a trigger device mounted to the lower rear surface of the cylindrical barrel. The trigger device is engageable with the cocking mechanism.

Magnus Effect Cylindrical Projectile and Launcher
20180345163 · 2018-12-06 ·

The present invention is a toy projectile and launcher system. The lightweight projectile has an exterior surface symmetrically disposed about an imaginary longitudinal axis. The launcher has a holding cavity composed of three semi-flexible sides, two of which sides apply counter-acting forces to the surface of the projectile along the imaginary longitudinal axis. The launcher has a mechanism for applying a motive force perpendicular to the counter-acting force vectors and perpendicular to the projectile's imaginary longitudinal axis. When the motive force is applied to the projectile, the semi-flexible sides deform and return to pre-deformation positions, thereby launching the projectile into flight.

The present invention is a toy projectile and launcher system. The lightweight projectile has an exterior surface symmetrically disposed about an imaginary longitudinal axis. The launcher has planar leaves or holding pins, for receiving and holding the projectile. Within the launcher is a spring-loaded element that moves between cocked and released positions. The spring-loaded element contacts a first planar leaf or a first holding pin as the spring-loaded element moves from cocked to released position. Contact with the spring-loaded element causes the leaves or pins to pinch the projectile and launch the projectile into flight in a direction perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. In an alternate embodiment, rotational and linear velocities are imparted to a projectile by action of a ribbon held against the projectile's exterior surface by parallel members. Contact with the spring-loaded element causes the ribbon to translate along the length of said parallel members and into flight.
