The expandable telescopic baton (1) consists of the handle (2), the central tube (5) with secondary locking member, of the end tube (6) with terminal locking member, of the button (4) and of the release rod (8). The locking member comprises at least two lever segments of the first order (9, 9), whose first tilting arms (11) bear the radial projections (10) securing the tubes (5, 6) in the extended position, the second tilting arms (12) extend inside the tubes (5, 6), and the tilting means comprising the tilting edge (15) ensures the tilting of the segments (9, 9) against the inner wall of the tube (5, 6). The release rod (8) passing through the locking tilts over the segments (9, 9), thus extending radial projections (10) from the internal radial grooves (7, 7).

Heating device as well as method for mounting a heating device

A heating device, in particular a gas-heating system, including a housing structure and an external housing, the external housing having at least one sidewall and at least one cover, which are able to be fixed in place on the housing structure. The at least one cover is developed to position the at least one sidewall in at least one direction in space relative to the housing structure. A method for mounting a heating device is also described.

A self-defense apparatus includes a sleeve portion and an adapter connected to the sleeve portion. The sleeve portion includes a proximal end surface, an outer side surface, and a distal end surface. The sleeve portion defines an implement-receiving cavity that extends axially into the proximal end surface. The sleeve portion defines an adapter-receiving passage that extends axially into the distal end surface. A proximal portion of the outer side surface defines a handle portion that includes one or more finger grooves. A distal portion of the outer side surface defines an adapter-interfacing body. A first portion of the adapter body is disposed within the adapter-receiving passage. A second portion of the adapter body extends beyond the distal end surface. A distal portion of the second portion of the adapter body defines a conical body.

The self-defense baton with automated flare is used for personal protection. The self-defense baton with automated flare comprises a telescopic structure and a combustion device. The combustion device generates a flame. The combustion device installs in the telescopic structure. The telescopic structure is an extendable structure. The telescopic structure is further defined with a collapsed position, an extended position, a proximal end, and a distal end. The telescopic structure is stored in the collapsed position. In the event of an emergency, the person grasps the telescopic structure and releases a first detent located at the proximal end. The release of the first detent automatically: a) extends the telescopic structure from the collapsed position to the extended position; and, b) ignites the combustion device such that the flame is presented at the distal end of the telescopic structure. A person positions the flame to ward off potential attackers.
