THUMB REST MECHANISM FOR FIREARMS
A thumb rest mechanism for a firearm having a frame, providing a thumb rest mount secured to the frame and having a mount member defining a mount surface. A thumb rest being releasably secured to the mount member in engagement with the mount surface and having a thumb engaging surface oriented at a suitable angle for recoil resisting engagement by the thumb of a firearm user and being of roughened character for non-slip engagement by the thumb of the firearm user. A protective plate extending from the thumb rest a protecting the users thumb from contact and potential damage by a moveable firearm component.
Buffer assembly
A buffer assembly is disclosed. The buffer assembly contains a buffer body, one or more magnets positioned along the buffer body, a hammer, a first spring, a spring guide, and an end cap removably coupled with the spring guide.

Grip Module Brace Assembly
Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a handgun lower receiver to be used with firing components from a donor handgun. The lower receiver includes additional features to improve stability during a triggering event. The additional features can include a rear attachment port comprising a receptacle with a cavity for receiving a brace extension component. The receptacle can have one or more coupling features for coupling the brace extension component to the rear attachment port.
FIREARM BUFFER SYSTEM AND BUTTSTOCK ASSEMBLY
A buttstock assembly configured to work in conjunction with a compact buffer assembly consisting of a buffer tube, spring and bolt carrier with an integral buffer is provided. The buttstock assembly, buffer tube and bolt carrier are configured to work with AR15/M16 type firearms and their derivatives. By incorporating the buffer onto the bolt carrier, which is used in conjunction with a buffer tube of reduced length, the overall length of the host firearm is reduced by approximately 3.2 inches. No permanent modification need be made to the host firearm in order to utilize the compact buffer assembly and buttstock assembly disclosed herein.
