A firearm support system includes a receiver that has a back wall comprising a strap slot and a flexible strap extending from the back wall.

Consistent with various embodiments, a firearm securing apparatus has a first securing interface that is configured to generate a holding force between the apparatus and a support surface in response to an applied pressure. A second securing interface is configured and arranged to receive and secure a firearm barrel and includes a graspable feature. A support piece is configured and arranged to physically connect the two securing interfaces and to provide space, to allow a person's fingers to seize a graspable feature and to allow the person to apply pressure sufficient to overcome the holding force between the apparatus and the surface in order to remove the firearm from the apparatus when desired.

Consistent with various embodiments, a firearm securing apparatus comprises a first surface configured and arranged to secure the apparatus to a support structure. Sidewalls extend away from the support structure and are configured and arranged to surround and support the butt of a firearm. A securing component is configured and arranged to prevent removal of the butt of the firearm from between the sidewalls.

A firearm support system, has a stock unit configured to be carried by a firearm, the first unit having a first complementary component and a belt unit configured to be carried by a belt, the second unit having a second complementary component configured for selective engagement with the first complementary component.
