DUAL PICTURE SIGHTS
The invention relates to a uniquely designed set of iron sights for a firearm. The rear site includes a ring aperture and notch located directly above the ring aperture. The front site includes a bead or substantially circular section to be centered inside the ring and a thinner post style extension located above the bead to interact visually with the notch.

In some embodiments, the front sight portion comprises a non-hollow circular cylinder. When the front sight circle is aligned horizontally and vertically to the center of the rear sight, an image of two circles is formed for the user and a target is placed in the center of the point of the circle of the front sight.

Elongated Rear Sight for a Firearm
An elongated rear sight for a firearm is described herein. The elongated sight includes an elongated aperture bounded by a top portion, a first side portion, and a second side portion. A first elongated rod is interior and approximate to the top portion, and extends along a length of the top portion. A second elongated rod is interior and approximate to the first side portion, and extends along a length of the first side portion. A third elongated rod is interior and approximate to the second side portion, and extends along a length of the second side portion. The elongated rods may be light gathering rods that glow in the presence of light. The elongated aperture channels a user's eye(s) towards the target, while the three elongated rods are used to align with a front sight of the firearm to aim towards a target.
Suppression of iron sight blooming in infrared weapon sights
A system for suppressing sight blooming in an infrared sight includes determining an n×n grid size; creating a grid of n×n averages; calculating a mean; determining if a heat source is detected; detecting a heat source radius; calculating the average of the outside boxes; estimating the average of the inside boxes; setting the source to zero; smoothing the boxes; subtracting the mean of the outside from the mean of the inside; feeding back the result into history; up-sampling the offset; subtracting the offsets; and displaying the image.

Sight apparatus for firearms instruction and related methods of use
A method of firearm instruction may include the steps of substituting a rear sight for a standard rear sight and substituting a front sight for a standard front sight by securing the rear sight and the front sight to a firearm. The method may include viewing by an instructor simultaneously with viewing by the shooter the aligning of the rear sight with the front sight along the line of sight as the shooter is manipulating the firearm. A rear sight face of the rear sight and a front sight face of the front sight are sized greater than a standard rear sight face of the standard rear sight and a standard front sight face of the front sight.
