Weapon system with multi-function single-view scope
Certain aspects of a novel weapon sight system combine a direct view, a visible light video view, and an infrared (IR) video view mode. Each of the view modes may be viewed individually or simultaneously with one or more of the other view modes through a single viewing aperture. Further, the one or more view-modes may be provided while providing a bore-sighted reticle superimposed on the selected view. Further, the reticle may be powered separately from the video view electronics enabling use of the reticle regardless of the power status video view electronics.

Thermal gunsights
A gunsight for aiming a firearm may comprise a display and an eyepiece optic positioned rearward of the display for allowing a user to view the display through the eyepiece optic and a motion sensing module. The eyepiece optic may comprise one or more eyepiece lenses. Circuitry of the gunsight is operatively coupled to the microbolometer and the display. The circuitry may comprise one or more processors and a non-transitory computer readable medium storing one or more instruction sets. In some embodiments, the one or more instruction sets include instructions configured to be executed by the one or more processors to receive a stream of motion signals from the motion sensing module and display an image to the user in response to the stream of motion signals.

Handgun slide with embedded sight assembly
A handgun slide has a slide body extending longitudinally and includes sides extending down from a top surface. A proximal end portion of the slide body defines a recess configured to receive a sight assembly. A sight assembly can be installed in the recess of the slide by placing the sight assembly in the recess, followed by securing the assembly to the slide. In its installed configuration, at least part of the sight assembly's point-of-aim indicator is recessed below the top surface of the slide.

ADJUSTABLE-POWER DATA RAIL ON A DIGITAL WEAPON SIGHT
A digital sight for a weapon, is provided that includes an adjustable power supply (APS) configured to supply power, a sight body, a sight interface, and a controller. The sight interface is fixed to the sight body, includes a sight power conductor connected to the APS for receiving power supplied by the APS, and is configured for mechanically coupling with a cooperating peripheral interface of a peripheral for fixing the peripheral to the digital sight and to be coupled with a peripheral power conductor of the peripheral interface for providing power from the adjustable power supply to the peripheral. The controller is programmed to receive a data communication having an optimal power indication from the peripheral and based on the optimal power indication, control the APS to adjust the power supplied by the APS to the sight power conductor. The disclosure further encompasses a weapon assembly, a peripheral, and a method.
Extreme long-range sniper engagement
A system for extending range of target engagement is provided. The system comprises a long firearm with a day optic sight attached and a clip-on thermal sight installed forward of the day optic sight. The clip-on thermal sight receives rotation of 90 degrees lengthwise along the firearm, display orientation of view finder changed from horizontal to vertical, and improves, based at least on the rotation and changed orientation, the aspect ratio is favorably altered to increase number of vertical mils available for target engagement. The range and situational awareness are both simultaneously enhanced while maintaining the number of pixels on the target by increasing the sensor resolution.
