An apparatus for training a sports player is enclosed. The apparatus may comprise one or more static training aid and/or one or more dynamic training aid. The static training aid and the dynamic training aid each includes a base and a pole vertically extending from the base. The static training aid may also include a light source extending along the pole from a point to a second end of the pole. In some embodiments, the static training aid includes one or more accessory parts. The one or more accessory parts may include a connector transversely connecting two static training aids. The one or more accessory parts may include a stick coupled to the pole of the static training aid. The dynamic training aid may include a first stick pivotally coupled to the pole of the static training aid. The first stick may be configured to rotate about a longitudinal axis of the pole. Aspects of the invention relate to methods of training a sports player using the static training aid and/or the dynamic training aid.

A skating aid comprising novelty figure, such as a snowman, from which a stick or handle, similar to the handle of the hockey stick, protrudes is described. The base of the novelty figure typically has two flat sections proximate its bottom angled relative to each other with the first flat section defining a storage position of the aid when it is not in use, and the second flat section defining a skating position for the aid when in use.

WEARABLE TRAINING APPARATUS, A TRAINING SYSTEM AND A TRAINING METHOD THEREOF
20230338816 · 2023-10-26 ·

A wearable training apparatus has a vision-control assembly for engaging a user's face about the user's eyes. The vision-control assembly has a see-through area about the user's eyes and an opaque area surrounding the see-through area at least on a temporal side and an inferior side thereof. The opaque area is for substantially blocking at least major portions of the natural monocular vision-areas of a natural field of vision (FOV) of the user's eyes, said natural monocular vision-areas being peripheral to a natural binocular vision-area on respectively temporal sides. The see-through area is for forming a reduced FOV about a gaze direction. The reduced FOV has a span encompassing at least a major portion of the natural binocular vision-area of the natural FOV of the user's eyes about the gaze direction thereof, said natural binocular vision-area being at an angular center of the natural FOV.

Interactive Sports Training System

A method, system, and apparatus, including a program encoded on computer-readable medium, for interactive training or entertainment. Each of multiple platform components interconnects with at least one other platform component and includes visual indicators, a detector substantially adjacent to each indicator for detecting a proximate game accessory, and a detector microcontroller. A main control unit receives data frames from the detectors and determines a quantity of detectors in an interconnected set of platform components based on data contained in the data frames. A memory stores a plurality of routines. The main control unit is adapted to execute a selected routine based at least in part on the determined quantity of detectors. The selected routine defines a sequence of activation of the indicators in the interconnected set of platform components.

A head and neck orientation retainer block for training young or adult athletes for their sport while keeping their head up to provide a safer way to play, and also to enhance their skill and vision of the game. It can be worn during practices with the team and if one chooses, to practice at home. The retainer is a wedge block protrusion placed under the central forward chin of the child or adult player, to allow the player to have a wider freedom of side to side lateral movement, while the player's head is maintained horizontally for line of sight viewing purposes.

Visual Or Audible Indicators Of Sensed Motion In A Hockey Puck
20230381619 · 2023-11-30 · ·

A hockey puck including a microprocessor operable to execute a processor readable code to convert sensor data generated by at least one sensor to hockey puck movement values, compare the hockey puck movement values to hockey puck movement threshold values, and actuate one or more light emitters or sound generators upon hockey puck movement values satisfying the hockey puck movement threshold values.

TRAINING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A method can include providing an object having a size smaller than a size of a known regulation object, projecting the object, via a delivery device, toward a trainee, and training the trainee to follow the object. A method can include determining a game parameter of a game trajectory of a sports object that was projected along the game trajectory in a real-time sports event, and based on the game parameters, adapting a delivery device to deliver a training object along a training trajectory that mimics at least a portion of the game trajectory, with the training object being smaller than the sports object.

A method can include projecting an object toward an impact device along a trajectory, receiving the object at a target zone of the impact device, a trainee striking the impact device at an impact zone with a sports tool, and scoring a performance score of the trainee to impact the impact zone at an appropriate time compared to an arrival time of the object at the target zone. A method can include projecting an object toward a target along a trajectory, receiving the object at an actual arrival position at the target, wherein the actual arrival position is either inside a target zone or outside the target zone, and where a trainee is configured to send an indication when the trainee expects the object to arrive inside the target zone, comparing the indication to the actual arrival position, and determining a performance score based on the comparing.
