MULTI-CURVE STEEL BODY ARMOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
20210404772 · 2021-12-30 ·

A steel armor plate and method of manufacturing is described. The armor plate has three curves, a first curve about an axis that parallels the length of the armor plate, and two additional curves about axes that parallel the width of the armor plate. A die for manufacturing said plate is described, the die being formed of a stack of metal plates, each plate having a curve that substantially matches the first curve, the stack of plates being arranged in a step-down-then-step-up fashion to form a concavity that approximates one of the two additional curves.

Bulletproof Tools reimagines traditional tools using a far superior material. The use of abrasion resistant metal in the manufacturing of tools is a natural progression in the use of new materials to significantly improve traditional tools durability and strength. Traditional tools use forged material to manufacture their tools. Forged metal is only half as strong as ar500.

Barrier for absorbing very high power bullets and uses thereof

This disclosure is directed to an improved ballistic concrete mixture which is operable to be cast in many forms such as blocks. The improved ballistic concrete mixture provides an effective barrier for stopping projectiles with a kinetic energy of between about 1.0 kJ (750 foot-pounds) and 20.3 kJ (15,000 foot-pounds) in between about 3 inches and 10 inches such as a fifty-caliber round. The improved ballistic concrete mixture is useful in the erecting of new structures which need ballistics protection or for retrofitting existing structures with ballistics protection.

Verifying structural integrity of materials

An armor piece may include a tested material. The armor piece also may include a plurality of electrical contacts distributed about and electrically connected to the tested material. The armor piece further may include a non-volatile memory (NVM) device. The NVM device may be hardened against exposure to x-ray radiation. The NVM device may be configured to store control voltages associated with respective electrical contacts of the plurality of electrical contacts.
