20190392693 · 2019-12-26 ·

A method of deterring an armed assailant inside of a building which involves the steps of placing physically disabling devices inside a building occupied by people, placing video and audio devices inside a building, then connecting the devices to remote activation controllers, then recognizing an armed assailant by an occupant of the building with the ability to activate the physically disabling devices remotely, then activating the devices, then transmitting the audio and video media to law enforcement and building officials, then determining that the assault continues, then activating more physically disabling devices, then deactivating the devices.

Intelligent xenon flash tube warning lamp

Embodiments described herein may provide an intelligent warning lamp that provides image recognition features using an image capture device and a target analysis device offering high-precision results. The target analysis device may perform facial recognition on a detected human in a surrounding image to obtain a facial feature, and match the obtained facial feature with features of a known target. For example, in a law enforcement application, the intelligent warning lamp may match facial features of people nearby a police car with a known criminal. If the match is found, a successful identification signal may be issued with information about the target. The intelligent warning lamp may include an automated deterrent system. The intelligent warning lamp may operate to determine a relative position of the target based on the image data, and may eject a deterrent in the direction of the target using the ejection driving device.

Robotic officer for police emergency assistance
20240134385 · 2024-04-25 ·

This disclosure introduces methods and devices for robotic police officer assistance, incorporating an articulating spotlight, removable camera, spike strip delivery, and chemical agent dispenser, aiming to enhance officer safety during common police activities by allowing remote operation and minimizing the need for officers to be physically present in dangerous situations. Presented herein are methods and devices for robotic police officer assistance. The device comprises an articulating spotlight, a removeable camera, a spike strip delivery mechanism, and a chemical agent dispenser. The robot is controlled by a police officer so that the actions of the robot can be controlled from a position that is safe for the officer. By directing the robotic device, it is not necessary for an officer to be placed in in a dangerous position to conduct some of the most common police activities. When an officer is not required to put their personal safety on the line during common police activities, serious injury to police officers can be avoided. Also disclosed herein are methods of using the robotic device during police activities or emergencies that would otherwise require an officer to be put in harm's way.

Mobile correctional facility robots
11959733 · 2024-04-16 · ·

The present disclosure is directed to mobile correctional facility robots and systems and methods for coordinating mobile correctional facility robots to perform various tasks in a correctional facility. The mobile correctional facility robots can be used to perform many of the tasks traditionally assigned to correctional facility guards to help reduce the number of guards needed in any given correctional facility. When cooperation is employed among multiple mobile correctional facility robots to execute tasks, a central controller can be used to coordinate the efforts of the multiple robots to improve the performance of the overall system of robots as compared to the performance of the robots when working in uncoordinated effort to execute the tasks.

Systems and methods for mitigating unusual behavior using unmanned mobile machines

Systems and methods for operating an Unmanned Mobile Machine (UMM). The methods comprise: detecting, by a Loss Prevention System (LPS), an unusual activity by at least one individual in a facility; communicating a signal from the loss prevention system to the UMM, in response to the detection of the unusual activity; transitioning an operational state of the UMM from a first state in which at least mitigation operations are disabled to a second state in which the mitigation operations are enabled, in response to the signal's reception at the UMM; and performing the mitigation operations by the UMM to visibly follow an individual associated with the unusual activity.

Tear gas enhanced fluidized bed security system and method
10371488 · 2019-08-06 · ·

A tear gas-based enhancement to a fluid bed security system implemented for the purpose of inhibiting unauthorized entry or access and to provide additional time for threatened individuals to evacuate or escape a hostile assembly at the perimeter of a secured area. The system provides for the reliable and controlled application of a specified concentration of tear gas emitted in conjunction with fluidizing gas distributed through a fluid bed configuration comprising a gas distribution piping array and a plurality of fluidizable granular solids in a surrounding relationship to the gas distribution piping array.
