Wearable self defense apparatus and method of self defense
A wearable self-defense apparatus has a body portion configured to be worn on or around a body part and includes a one or more deterrent devices such as an audible deterrent, a light deterrent or a high voltage transmitter deterrent for deterring an attacker. A controller is configured to control one or more operations of the apparatus to allow activation of the one or more deterrents upon detection of an activation motion by a gesture detector. An alert message may be sent to one or more alert contacts via a wireless transmitter directly or through a wireless connection with a mobile device. A global positioning system may provide a location of the apparatus to an alert contact upon activation, and a call center may call the wearer of the apparatus to confirm their safety. The high voltage transmitter is configured to charge conductors to transmit high voltage to an attacker.

BACKPACK PERSONAL DEFENSE MATERIAL DISPENSER
A backpack material dispenser that includes a pumpless pressure tank for storing and discharging a material under pressure contained in the pressure tank and a hose and a shut off valve connected to an output opening of the pressure tank for allowing flow of the material from the pressure tank under pressure and through a nozzle communicating with a discharge end of the hose. A discharge valve communicates with the nozzle proximate the hose for allowing controlled discharge of the material from the nozzle. A backpack assembly mounts the pressure tank for being carried by a user. A charging tank contains a gas under pressure to charge the pressure tank to a predetermined pressure, and a releasable connector of the charging tank attaches to a complementary connector of the pressure tank for charging the pressure tank with the gas under pressure to the suitable pressure tank pressure.
Blank firing device
A diversionary device trigger mechanism is provided that can be repeatedly used, and which allows a primer or blank to be discharged in two different ways. The device includes a main body with a number of other components secured to the main body about an upper chamber and a lower chamber. A firing pin, a ball bearing, an anvil, a top retaining cap, and a plunger are secured about the upper chamber. A blank carrier, a primer or blank, and a carrier receiver are secured about the lower chamber. In the first way, the ball bearing can be displaced relative to the main body, such as by throwing the device towards a surface. In the second way, the plunger can be pushed down relative to the main body. If either of these occur, the firing pin to be moved downwardly to pierce and set off the primer or blank.
Non-lethal self-protection weapon
A gripless, non-lethal, self-protection weapon comprises a clamshell with top and bottom shells pivotally coupled together about a rear hinge and defining a cavity therein. The clamshell has a forward opening and the top shell has a top opening. A panel is slidably carried by the top shell and selectively covers the top opening. A nozzle is carried by the clamshell at the forward opening. A cartridge is removably positioned in the cavity. The cartridge comprises a barrel with an outlet positioned at the forward opening of the clamshell; a compressed gas vessel; and a diverter to redirect compressed gas from the compressed gas vessel in a rearward direction towards an inlet of the barrel in a forward direction.
