Remotely actuated multi-use modular explosive ordnance disposal rocket dearmer

A novel dearmer enables EOD technicians to propel dearmer projectiles using conventional electric .50 caliber blank cartridges or conventional non-electric 12 gauge blank cartridges. The dearmer projectiles may render energetic threats safe without requiring an opposing force to offset the recoil. The conventional blank cartridge functions as a rocket motor that supplies gas to a converging/diverging nozzle. Alternatively, liquid is loaded into the dearmer (creating a liquid rocket effect) and the EOD projectile is propelled toward a target from the end of the dearmer opposite the liquid.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MINE DISPOSAL

A projectile for piercing a casing of a mine containing an explosive material. The projectile includes a projectile body having a nose portion and a tail portion and a longitudinal axis, a switch, and electrodes separated such that in use an electrical discharge can flow between them through an explosive material contained within a mine, or to initiate an energetic material provided between the electrodes to detonate an explosive material contained within a mine. Also provided is a method of mine disposal.

In one embodiment, a safety trailer has semi-tractor hitches at both ends and a safety wall that is fixed to one side of the trailer. That side, however, can be changed to the right or left side of the road, depending on the end to which the truck attaches. A caboose can be attached at the end of the trailer opposite the tractor to provide additional lighting and impact protection. Optionally, the trailer can be equipped with overhead protection, lighting, ventilation, onboard hydraulics, compressors, generators and other equipment, as well as related fuel, water, storage and restroom facilities and other amenities.

A disrupter for launching a combination of water and a projectile toward an explosive device to disable the explosive device. The position of the projectile in the barrel of the disrupter determines an exit velocity of the water and the projectile from the barrel of the disrupter.

Inflatable tool for plasma generation and shaped charge stand-off

An explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) tool has an inflated state and a deflated, collapsed state. In the inflated state, the EOD tool includes a central longitudinal axis and a radially outer portion. The radially outer portion contains an inflation composition. The radially outer portion includes an opening for admitting the inflation composition into the radially outer portion, an exterior wall and an interior wall that defines a through opening centered on the central longitudinal axis.
