Resetting target system
11466968 · 2022-10-11 ·

A resetting target system includes a reset subassembly and a target subassembly which are separately positionable along a support rail. An arm of a reset plate is removably coupled to a reset bar. The reset bar is inserted through the target subassembly. When the reset bar is actuated by striking the reset plate, the reset bar pivots a latch of the target subassembly and frees a target from a latched position. One reset bar may engage with one or more target subassemblies, and multiple reset bars may be interconnected and coupled to a single reset plate. The target system is modular, adjustable, and easy to assemble.

Target system with unique target sensing
20170370684 · 2017-12-28 ·

A portable target apparatus is described including a threat/shoot target and a no threat/no shoot target positioned near the threat/shoot target. A user defined number of projectile impacts on only the threat/shoot target move it to a position out of the shooter's field-of-view. The threat/shoot target remains in the shooter's field-of-view whenever the no threat/no shoot target is impacted by a projectile.

Multi-Target Apparatus
20230184520 · 2023-06-15 ·

The invention discloses an apparatus that enables a user to shoot multiple targets, both stationary and moving, consisting of a structure having three sides, optionally enclosed, and an open side to form an interior supporting primary targets and having a top supporting secondary targets. Primary targets, rotatably affixed to a target bar spanning the open side, have projections on the back which, upon impact, rotate to impact a secondary target positioned on the top of the apparatus. The impact uses the kinetic energy to launch the secondary target contained within a secondary target holder positioned on the top of the apparatus and open to the interior. The projections are dimensioned to have sufficient contact to launch the secondary target without getting embedded in the secondary target holder. The projection can be either permanently or removably affixed to the back of the targets and can, when removable, permit weight variations.

A method and apparatus for supporting a post used to support a ballistic target. A post is supported in a vertical position by retention in a post stand. The post stand is assembled using a bottom plate, a top plate and two side plates. Once assembled, the post stand receives a post. Two types of posts are contemplated. One post type is made of wood. A second post type is made of steel and projects a low profile toward a shooter. A top hanger is then installed over the post and provides mounting holes so that a target can be suspended therefrom.
