Throwing trainer and method
This invention is an apparatus and method of training an athlete to properly throw a ball utilizing proper arm and elbow position by providing a device that attaches to the athlete's waist and has a semi-rigid guide rod extending up from the waist toward the shoulders such that it is positioned to contact the athlete's arm or elbow during the throwing motion once the arm or elbow is moved back into the ideal position, thus providing a tactile signal when the ideal position is reached thereby allowing the athlete to continually train and develop muscle memory of the proper throwing position.
EXOSKELETON ROBOTIC SYSTEM FOR GOLF-SWING TRAINING AND MEDICAL REHABILITATION
A robotic training device, system and method duplicates and guides a golfer through a perfect golf swing in several modes. The exoskeleton-like robotis device, and system utilizes a training method that employs a combination of either pneumatic, electrics or Bowden cables with small motors and actuators, which embraces the golfer so he/she can experience the feel and body movements that make a perfect golf swing and learn to perform the motion without the training device. Similarly, the robot training device, system may assist patients in rehabilitation from injuries, stroke, chronic illness or other conditions involving muscular atrophy.
Golf garment with shoulder joint support
A golf garment for reinforcing a connection between a body and an arm has a shoulder joint support which fills a gap between the upper arm and the body at a golf posture, thereby enhancing a swing mechanism and reducing a possible injury. The shoulder joint support also mitigates the concentration of shock on the shoulder and thus the risk of injury is further reduced. Although designed specifically for golf, the present invention can be also effective for sports requiring a firm, yet tensionless connection of the arm to the body, such as tennis, hockey and baseball.
Golf swing aid apparatus and methods of using the same
A golf swing aid apparatus comprises a stretchable strap that pulls a golfer's trailing elbow downward towards his or her torso during a golf downswing. The stretchable strap continues pulling the golfer's trailing elbow towards his or her torso until he or she strikes the golf ball, and then releases so that the golfer is free to follow through without impairment from the stretchable strap.
Position alignment device
A method of athletic training includes attaching a position training device to users. The position training device includes a positioning member, flexible spacing members each having a first end portion and a second end portion, and attachment members. The first end portions of the spacing members are each coupled to the positioning member and are spaced relative to adjacent ones of the first end portions, and the second end portions of the spacing members are each coupled to an attachment member. Each user is attached to the position training device by an attachment member, and the positioning member is located between the users. The method further includes moving the users apart such that the spacing members are tensioned and the positioning member is elevated, and moving the users such that the positioning member remains elevated while the users move and pass an object between one another as they move.
Pull buoy
A flotation component, such as for a pull buoy, can be sized and shaped to be placed between the legs of a swimmer. The flotation component can include one or more features to assist in maintaining the flotation component in place while the swimmer is swimming. A pull buoy including the flotation component also can include an internally routed strap that assists in fastening the flotation component to at least one leg. A pull buoy including the flotation component can include a waist portion having a lateral diameter that decreases from one end to the opposite end.
Basketball training device for the guide hand
This is a basketball training device for a user's guide hand comprising upper arm, pivot, forearm, thumb, and finger components. The pivot component is pivotably connected to the upper arm component and rigidly coupled to the forearm component, and the forearm component is rigidly coupled to both the thumb component and the finger component. The upper arm, forearm, thumb, and finger components are each secured to the user's upper arm, forearm, thumb, and at least one finger, respectively. As such, the basketball training device not only restricts flexion and opposition of the thumb but it restricts pronation of the user's forearm. In addition, the basketball training device restricts flexion, extension, radial deviation, and ulnar deviation of the user's wrist while allowing the user appropriate extension at the elbow joint during the entire shooting motion.
ALIGNMENT AID
An alignment aid includes a joint section, at least one central section connected to the joint section, at least one central section being hollow and defining at least one linear channel, at least one rider arranged within the at least one linear channel, each rider connected to an attachment mechanism.
Follow through fixer
The Follow Through Fixer is a basketball shooting aid that is worn on a basketball player's shooting arm. It helps a player straighten their follow through, correct their finger spacing, and quicken their release time. The present invention also comes with a unique assembly and design that allows for a player to take the device on and off easily, allowing them to seamlessly transition from practicing with the shooting aid to playing without it.
ATHLETIC TRAINING AID
A training aid for throwing a curveball is disclosed herein. The training aid can include a base member that can coupled to a user's wrist. The training aid can further include a first stiffener and a second stiffener coupled to the base member and extending towards the fingertips of the user. The first stiffener can extend over the top of the user's hand and the second stiffener can extend over the palm of the user's hand. The first stiffener and the second stiffener can maintain the wrist/hand position by preventing the wrist from flexing and extending.
