An exercise device includes a resilient compression member configured to resist a compressive force from a user, and a resilient tension member configured to couple to opposing sides of the compression member. The resilient tension member is also configured to form a first portion of a loop around the compression member and the user, and resist a tensile force from the user. The exercise device also includes an extension member configured to connect with opposing ends of the tension member to form a second portion of the loop around the compression member and the user.

A training apparatus for assisting a person shooting a basketball includes a first wearable member for being equipped on a person's arm, a loop for slidably fitting on the person's other arm, and a bridge for connecting the first wearable member and the loop. The bridge provides feedback to the person while a shooting motion is being executed, thereby promoting consistency in the person's shooting form.

The present disclosure presents improved treadmill control systems and methods. One such method comprises initiating a recording a video sequence of a walking exercise by a subject on a treadmill device; extracting intra-gait phases of the subject from the recorded video sequence using a video temporal alignment with a neural network; generating a series of treadmill belt control settings for the treadmill device corresponding to each phase of the gait pattern of the subject; and signaling the series of treadmill belt control settings to a motor controller of the treadmill device. A support garment for use during resistance training. The support garment includes a segment of elastomeric material having two ends and upper and lower perimeters. The segment of material also has a chest support segment located between the two ends. Each end is positioned and attached to the upper perimeter of the segment of material to form a sleeves band. Each sleeve band has an opening on opposite sides of the support garment. Each sleeve band is also configured to accommodate an arm of a user of the garment and are biased inwardly by the chest support segment. The user positions one arm in each sleeve band and positions the chest support segment across a chest of the user during resistance training.

A golf swing machine with movable guides that rest on the back of the neck/shoulders and against the lower back just above the belt to help guide a golfer into forming a proper swing. Two semi-circular guides rotate around the center of the spine forcing the user to rotate around his or her spine maintaining a proper spine angle during the swing. These guides are rotatably connected to a frame which is part of a stand on which the user stands. Smooth rotation of the guides up to 180 degrees without binding is enabled by guides connected to the device by rollers rolling in semi-circular channels.

A practice device with an integrated signal emitter that can provide a visual indicator. The practice device includes a dual-arm sleeve in which both arms can be inserted to form a platform for ball handling. The signal emitter integrated with the dual-arm sleeve provides a visual indicator that can effectively teach a player how their arm and body stance will affect the ball trajectory. When utilized with a target, the practice device helps a player learn how to achieve the correct arm and body stance from any location or position on the court in order to achieve the desired ball placement.
