A method for calculating a position of a dart pin attached to a dart board divided into a plurality of segments in an apparatus for calculating a position of a dart pin is provided. The method includes obtaining a plurality of optical data from a plurality of optical devices corresponding to at least one of a plurality of holes formed in each segment and installed on the rear surface of the dart board; and calculating a position of a dart pin attached to the dart board using the plurality of optical data.

Disclosed are a dart game apparatus and a dart game system outputting an event effect. The dart game apparatus may include: a dart target having a plurality of score areas; a sensing unit sensing a hit location of a dart pin in the dart target; a display unit providing a display area surrounding the dart target, provided in a body structure of the dart game apparatus, and outputting a variable screen, comprising a touch sensor to detect at least one of a touch pressure, a touched position and a touched area in the display unit; and a controller controlling the display unit at least partially based on the hit location of the dart pin in the dart target.

The second sensor unit and the first sensor unit are in an intersecting arrangement and have a predetermined gap therebetween. The first sensor unit and the second sensor unit surround a plurality of first sensing regions, and each of the first sensing regions corresponds to one of the score regions and one of the through openings.
