The present disclosure relates to a dart game device interworking with at least one external device. The dart game device includes a dart target having a plurality of point regions, a sensing unit configured to sense a hit to the dart target by a dart, a light source unit configured to output light in a light pattern, a sound source unit configured to output sound in a sound pattern, and a communication unit configured to communicate with the external device and control the external device to output light in the light pattern or to output sound in the sound pattern. The light and sound patterns depend on an occurrence of an event.

A method is disclosed for automatically scoring a game of darts. The method involves obtaining an image of a dartboard (2) using three cameras (10), detecting a visual disturbance in the image, and identifying a validly thrown dart if the visual disturbance includes a moving phase with a maximum temporal duration and successive images of the dartboard which exhibit differences. The visual disturbance should also include a stationary phase when the dart has been embedded in the dartboard (2). The method also includes calculating a score for the validly thrown dart based on its stationary position relative to the dartboard. A lighting system for a dartboard is also disclosed where a LED strip light (14) is provided around a circumference of the dartboard and three spotlights (8) are provided above the dartboard.

The dart game apparatus may include: a dart target including a plurality of score regions; a sensing unit configured to detect a hit location of a dart pin in the dart target; a dispenser configured to supply a drink to a cup based on the hit location of the dart pin; and a controller configured to control an operation of the dispenser.

Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a dart game apparatus which provides a player with a drink based on a hit location of a dart pin. A dart throwing game system for wirelessly communicating with multiple players includes a dart throwing game including a dartboard having a front surface and a plurality of darts being removably couplable to the dartboard. A monitor and scoreboard assembly monitors the dart throwing game and displays a score from the dart throwing game and is wirelessly communicable with at least one other assembly. The monitor and scoreboard assembly comprises a monitor tracking a position of each dart on the dartboard and recording the score of the dart throwing game. A display is mountable to a wall and receives the score from the monitor, wherein the display displays the score of the dart throwing game.

A dart throwing game system for wirelessly communicating with multiple players includes a dart throwing game including a dartboard having a front surface and a plurality of darts being removably couplable to the dartboard. The game board may be axially rotated between at least first and second positions so as to allow game play on the different targets which can be moved into and out of position to aid in gameplay such as deciding which player goes first. Additionally, the position of the game board may be detected through the use of a detector on or in the board.
