A remote camera target observation system and method of use, the system generally comprising one or more remote camera/wireless transmitter units comprising a video camera connected to a first wireless transmitter that can wirelessly transmit video signals from the video camera; one or more weather meter/wireless transmitter units comprising at least of a weather meter to continuously measure environmental conditions, weather meter/wireless transmitter units wirelessly transmitting data signals of measured environmental conditions made by the weather meter; a receiver/base unit that comprises a wireless receiver that connects to a computer, the computer connects to a user interface, the wireless receiver capable of receiving video signals from the one or more remote camera/wireless transmitter units and data signals from one or more weather meter/wireless transmitter units.

A system for firearm target shooting monitoring, training, and feedback includes a camera directed at the aiming point of a firearm or a firearm training device. Embodiments include a trigger sensor and a laser emitter aimed at the aiming point of the firearm or firearm training device. A computer module can analyze video captured by the camera and determine if the firearm or firearm training device was aimed at a target region at the time of a trigger pull. User performance can be monitored, recorded, tracked, and reported to the user. Training and instruction modules can provide directed instruction and training exercises for a user to work on particular skills for which the user desires to raise proficiency.

A shot detection system can include a shooting target that is made of paper and printed to include fiducials, borders and a bar code together with a scoring region and markings. A method of camera adjustment control can find and lock onto a target. A target acquisition procedure can include extracting a region of interest (image of the shooting target), calibrating the region of interest and then target locking. The real-time target locking procedure can include correcting an image of the region of interest to account for tilt, rotation and skew. A methodology of shot detection can include acquiring probable and confirming shot candidates and then verifying the probably shot candidate with the confirming shot candidates to substantially eliminate falsely identified shots candidates, thereby significantly improving performance and experience.

In accordance with disclosed embodiments, there are provided systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing video shooting guns and personal safety management applications. An exemplary personal safety device may include, for example, a processor and a memory to execute instructions; a rechargeable battery to electrically power the personal safety device; a front facing video camera to capture video data of a scene anterior to a front face of the personal safety device; a rear facing video camera to capture video data of a scene posterior to a rear of the personal safety device; an audio capture device to capture audio data from an environment within which the personal safety device is to operate; a trigger to initiate recording of the front facing video camera, the rear facing video camera, and the audio capture device when triggered by an operator of the personal safety device; and a transceiver to transmit the recorded video data from the front and rear cameras and the captured audio data to a remote location over a network. According to another embodiment, a holster operates in conjunction with a body camera to activate audio and video capture and streaming upon removal of a firearm from the holster. A monitoring apparatus and system for recording, differentiating, and reporting the discharge of firearms. The monitoring apparatus can be mounted to a firearm and may be automatically activated when the firearm is drawn from a holster thus enabling the monitoring apparatus to record information such as sound, video, location, time, and the like. The apparatus may use this information to differentiate between shots fired by the firearm and shots fired by other firearms. The device may report this distinction to a remote computer configured to receive updates from the weapon mounted apparatus in real time. The remote computer may display the information on a user interface such as a map display, and/or distribute the information according to rules defining how the information should be processed.

A firearm training system provides a firearm body having a trigger and a trigger pull sensor circuit. When the trigger is pulled, the trigger pull sensor circuit provides trigger pull path data allowing monitoring of the actual two-dimensional trigger pull path taken by the trigger during the trigger pull. The trigger pull path is graphed on a predetermined map. The system provides a way to monitor trigger pull path to determine whether the trigger has been pulled laterally and/or if the firearm body has moved with respect to a longitudinal axis of the firearm body during the trigger pull. By repeatedly monitoring trigger pulls using the system, a user can train to improve trigger pull technique.

An adjustable mount is disclosed which can hold an electronic recording device on a hunting firearm like a rifle, so as to be able to record a kill and be able to look at the screen of the phone to see the crosshairs in the scope. The device makes it easier for younger kids to be able to make a shot and convenient for older hunters that have problems with their eyes to be able to see. The device enables sharing of the recording over a social computing based network.

An apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus may include a housing detachably couplable to a sighting device. The housing has a first opening and a second opening defining a viewing axis, and a sight shade disposed adjacent the first opening. The second opening is configured to engage an end of the sighting device. The viewing axis of the housing is coaxial with a viewing axis of the sighting device. The housing also includes at least one elongated member coupled with the housing and extending away from the second opening in a direction that is parallel with the viewing axis. The housing also includes a coupling device that is slidably coupled with the at least one elongated member, and configured to couple the at least one elongated member to the sighting device.
