A mechanical target system is disclosed, including a frame; a target rotatably connected to the frame; a reset rotatably connected to the frame; a locking system configured to hold the target in a locked position; and an unlocking system configured to release the target from the locked position. Contacting the target can move the target from an unlocked position to the locked position. Contacting the reset can move the target from the locked position to the unlocked position.

A laser targeting apparatus rests on a surface and moves, such as by vibrating, wobbling, or shaking, when struck by laser light of sufficient intensity. The apparatus is designed not to fall over, so a user does not have to move to the apparatus and pick it up after a strike. The apparatus has a body that includes a structure, which is preferably one or more printed circuit boards including light sensors, for detecting strikes of laser light, and a motor. When a strike of laser light is detected, power is provided to the motor, which vibrates and causes the apparatus to move.

A metal shooting target is provided. The target is a modular metal shooting target including a base assembly, a post, and a target member. The post is coupled between the base assembly and the target member. The base assembly, the post and the target member may be assembled and disassembled into component parts. The base assembly for a modular metal shooting target includes a first side member having slots; a second side member having slots; and a cross member having hooks on each end of the cross member. The hooks are coupled to the first side member and the second side member through the slots in the first side member and the second side member.

There is provided a target attachment system for attaching a target having an opening therethrough. The target attachment system comprises a support comprising a holding member and a releasable target attachment element. The releasable target attachment element comprises an elongated engagement member and an abutment surface. The elongated engagement member is adapted to be inserted through the target opening and to be releasably fixed to the holding member. The abutment surface is adapted to abut the target towards the support once the engagement member is releasably fixed to the holding member. The proposed system does not have exposed mounting brackets or exposed bolts that may redirect bullet splatter in all directions which is dangerous.

There is provided a target attachment system for attaching a target having an opening therethrough. The target attachment system comprises a support comprising a holding member and a releasable target attachment element. The releasable target attachment element comprises an elongated engagement member and an abutment surface. The elongated engagement member is adapted to be inserted through the target opening and to be releasably fixed to the holding member. The abutment surface is adapted to abut the target towards the support once the engagement member is releasably fixed to the holding member. The proposed system does not have exposed mounting brackets or exposed bolts that may redirect bullet splatter in all directions which is dangerous.

In at least one embodiment the present invention can provide a modular shooting target for shooting practice having a first target component and a second target component, a trigger release element positioned adjacent to one of the first target component and the second target component and a connector element having a first end and a second end, the first end engaged with the trigger release element and the second end fixed to a secondary attachment point.

A drop target bank assembly including: a plurality of drop target units mounted next to each other on a drop target bank bracket; wherein each of the plurality of drop target units includes: a target; a trip mechanism; a reset mechanism; and a sensor; wherein the trip mechanism is configured to move the target from a first position to a second position; wherein the reset mechanism is configured to move the target from the second position to the first position; wherein the sensor is configured to detect whether the target is at the first or second position; and wherein the trip mechanism and the reset mechanism in a drop target unit are individually activated independent of other drop target units.
