An alternate reality training system for tennis is operationally coupled to a head assembly, a stand assembly, and a vertical polymer flexible rod assembly connecting the substantially polymer head assembly to the stand assembly. The vertical polymer flexible rod assembly oscillates when a ball member held in the head assembly is hit by a racket. An alternate reality software system is adapted to synchronize with oscillations to present substantially simultaneous cues for hitting a physical ball member coupled to the head member and convert associated data to a virtual ball member adapted to visually present data from hitting the physical ball member and associated user data. Data includes variables of power, accuracy, timing, trajectory, spin, and impact sweet spot from which to calculate virtual ball flight.

A swing training device for baseball, softball, golf players, and potentially racquet sports players that provides feedback as to where the ball is hit. The swing training device comprises a first vertical member rigid and columnar in form connecting to a first horizontal member, being rod-like in form, at a first end. A second end of the first horizontal member comprises a ball-shaped end connecting with a swivel joint to a second vertical member. The swivel ball joint connection allows the second vertical member to rotate at an angle such that the player knows whether their hit contacted the ball in the center, or to the left or right of center, thereby allowing the player to make adjustments in their swing based on angle of rotation of the ball around the first horizontal member.

A method can include providing an object having a size smaller than a size of a known regulation object, projecting the object, via a delivery device, toward a trainee, and training the trainee to follow the object. A method can include determining a game parameter of a game trajectory of a sports object that was projected along the game trajectory in a real-time sports event, and based on the game parameters, adapting a delivery device to deliver a training object along a training trajectory that mimics at least a portion of the game trajectory, with the training object being smaller than the sports object.

The present invention is directed to an apparatus for throwing and catching a football by a user of the apparatus. The apparatus includes a football having a connector, such as a loop, attached to one end of the football, specifically the point of the football; an elastic cord having connectors at opposite ends, with one connector configured to attach to the connector on the football and the opposite connector configured to attach to a stationary object or anchor to anchor the apparatus during use, and wherein each connector attached to the elastic cord is configured to swivel such that the opposite ends of each connector can freely rotate relative to each other to allow the football to rotate relative to the elastic cord and to allow the elastic cord to rotate relative to the anchor.

A ball tee with motorized retrieval for re-seating a ball after hitting includes a base having a top surface. A housing is attached to and extends upwardly from the base. The housing has a top wall and an interior surface. The top wall has an aperture extending therethrough to the interior surface. A tether container is positioned within the housing. A tee is attached to and extends upwardly from the top wall. A ball is attached to the tether container by a tether. A driver mechanism is mounted on the interior surface. The driver mechanism is coupled to a drive roller such that the drive roller is rotatable by the driver mechanism. An actuating mechanism actuates a wheel toward the drive roller to engage with the tether and the drive roller. The drive roller rotates to retract the tether into the tether container and reseat the ball.

A volleyball training apparatus has a laterally extending arm supported on a riser. A resilient member such as a spring is operably connected within the arm. The resilient member is connected to a flexible connector, such as a cable, that is connected to a volleyball. A series of spacers retains the volleyball away from the rigid arm. The height of the arm may be adjustable to locate the volleyball at a desired height. After a user strikes the volleyball, the volleyball is displaced from its original static position, but quickly is snapped back into the static position by the resilient member pulling the volleyball toward the arm against the spacers.

A ball tee with motorized retrieval for re-seating a ball after hitting includes a base having a top surface. A housing is attached to and extends upwardly from the base. The housing has a top wall and an interior surface. The top wall has an aperture extending therethrough to the interior surface. A tether container is positioned within the housing. A tee is attached to and extends upwardly from the top wall. A ball is attached to the tether container by a tether. A driver mechanism is mounted on the interior surface. The driver mechanism is coupled to a drive roller such that the drive roller is rotatable by the driver mechanism. An actuating mechanism actuates a wheel toward the drive roller to engage with the tether and the drive roller. The drive roller rotates to retract the tether into the tether container and reseat the ball.

A golf swing training kit includes a training system having a ball and an anchor connected together by a tether and one or more tees. The golf swing training kit also includes a rack including a ball receptacle configured to removably receive the ball of the training system, an anchor socket configured to removably receive the anchor of the training system, one or more tee sockets configured to removably receive the one or more tees, and a spool configured to removably receive the tether of the training system.

A baseball swing training device has a base, a support member adjustably connected to the base, and a suction assembly disposed in the base that extends through and out of the support member to hold a ball in a stationary position. The suction assembly includes a coil vacuum hose disposed within the support member, and connected to a vacuum pump assembly, and an elongated hose connected to the coil vacuum hose at one end, and removeably connected to a suction nozzle at an opposite end.
