TRAINING APPARATUS FOR BALL-PLAYING SPORTS
A training apparatus for ball-playing sports comprising a tether having a first end affixed to a connector module and a second end affixed to a ball securing device. The ball securing device is configured to secure a ball therein. A belt may be configured to have the connector module engaged therewith where the belt is to be worn around a waist of a user. The connector module operable to traverse a length of the belt in response to a throwing force applied to the ball.
Batting tee
A batting tee that includes a return mechanism, a swing arm connected to the return mechanism to swing about a rotation axis, a strike target connected to the swing arm, and a base supporting the return mechanism and the swing arm, the return mechanism including a mechanical energy storage device that stores mechanical energy when the swing arm swings in one direction in response to a batter's striking of the strike target, and a damper that slows down the swinging of the swing arm in the opposite direction as the swing arm swings back by the force supplied by the mechanical energy storage device.
HOCKEY TRAINING DEVICE
A hockey training device is provided. The hockey training device provides a puck body connected to an elastic shock cord, the other end of which may attach to a user's hockey stick. The puck body has the dimensioning of a regulation hockey puck, while the shock cord is adaptable to different hockey sticks and skill levels of the individual user. The shock cord may be secured within a cavity of the puck body through a body hole thereof. The elasticity of the shock cord enables the user to repeatedly practice their passing skills as well as their receiving skills as the interconnected puck body elastically returns to the hockey stick during use.
FOOTBALL TRAINING DEVICE
A training aid for throwing and catching a football. The present invention includes a cord having a first end opposite a second end. A first bracket attaches the first end of the cord to the first end of the football. A second bracket is attached to the second end of the cord. The present invention further includes a mount. The mount is securable to a structure, such as a door frame or a ceiling stud. The second bracket releasably attaches to the mount.
Tethered hand toy
A skill toy that is juggled, spun, and flipped in one hand or between both hands. The skill toy has two subassemblies that each contains a rounded translucent shell. The translucent shell surrounds an internal illumination unit, wherein the rounded translucent shell has a maximum diameter of under two inches. The illumination units are motion activated and contain lights. A tether joins the subassemblies together. The tether can be selectively attached to, and detached from, the two subassemblies. The tether has a length of between four inches and six inches, so it is just long enough to span the back of a hand.
Baseball swing training apparatus
A swing training apparatus for baseball or softball that suspends or propels a tethered ball to be hit by a batter. The apparatus includes two elongated vertically spaced apart cords disposed, one above the other, connected at opposed ends to vertical upright members to extend therebetween relative to a horizontal axis in a taut tightly stretched or drawn condition. One or both cords may be formed of elastic material and may extend between the uprights generally parallel to, or slightly angularly relative to, the horizontal axis. A ball trolley with a practice ball is movably supported vertically between the two elongate cords. The ball trolley includes two pulleys, each mounted on a respective elongate cord in vertically opposed relation, and a practice ball is captured between and attached to the pulleys.
TRAINING EQUIPMENT COMPRISING HARNESS FOR BALL TRAINING
Training equipment for ball training having a ball attached to an elastic line which returns the ball to an origin, the elastic line being attached to a rod. The rod is attached to a harness arranged to be attached to the back of an athlete and is extendable, such as telescopically extendable. The rod is attached to the harness via a curved intermediate piece which may have a joint with adjustable angle.
SPORTS TRAINING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A device to function as a training aid designed to improve the tennis serves, ground strokes and volleys, badminton serves and strokes, volley ball serves and returns, baseball batting, racquet ball serves and returns, and squash serves and returns. It is also useful in any activity where the user seeks to improve striking performance when a sports object is suspended in a particular three-dimensional space location.
TRAINING RACKET AND METHOD
A training racket with a user end on one side and a hitting end on an opposite side. The user end further comprises a first grip, a second grip, and a generally u-shaped segment interconnecting the first grip and the second grip. The generally u-shaped segment extends away from an axis extending through the first grip, the second grip and the hitting end, whereby the player positions a portion of the racket behind their back with a first grip on one side of their body and the second grip on the opposite side of their body to practice their hitting and swinging techniques.
