Pyrotechnic launch units and systems

A modular pyrotechnic launch unit includes a launch module, a first module, and a second module. The launch module includes a launch barrel. The first module is coupled in series to the launch module. The first module includes a first ignition state in which the first module ignites a pyrotechnic element that will then pass through the launch barrel. The first module also includes a first pass-through state in which the first module allows a pyrotechnic element ignited by another module to pass through the first module. The second module is coupled in series to the first module. The second module includes a second ignition state in which the second module ignites a pyrotechnic element that will then pass through the first module and through the launch barrel.

The present invention relates to a combined fireworks with launching pits and multi-channel fireproof structures comprising a body, several tubular cavities are uniformly arranged on the body with the upper ports thereof are open and the lower ports thereof are closed, inner cylinders of fireworks and propellants are arranged inside the tubular cavity, the bottom of each tubular cavity is provided with annular grooves and launching pits. The bottom surface of the body is provided with several fireproof bosses, the position of each fireproof boss corresponds to each tubular cavity in the body respectively, and recessed countersinks are arranged on the fireproof bosses, the priming holes are arranged within the recessed countersinks, one end opening of the priming hole is located on the bottom surface of the launching pit, and the other end opening of the priming hole is located in the recessed countersinks. The present invention solves the problem of directional instability and unfocused acting force of the inner cylinders of fireworks during launching. With multi-channel fireproof structures protruding from the bottom surface, this invention can also prevent crossfire during launching.

A fireworks aerial display shell is provided with lift charges positioned at opposite ends of a casing that additionally contains an effects charge. Fuses are operatively associated with the lift charges and the effects charge in a manner to ignite the lift charges a period of time before igniting the effects charge. When either one of the ends of the casing is placed facing a closed bottom of a launch tube of a reusable mortar, the burning lift charge at that end of the casing when ignited exerts a propelling force to propel the aerial display shell upwardly out of the launch tube to an intended height before the effects charge is ignited to create a pyrotechnic visual effects display.
