Foam darts
10408583 · 2019-09-10 ·

The present invention generally relates to an improved foam dart that operates with improved accuracy. The shaft of the foam dart is shaped with indentions that direct airflow around the dart to improve its accuracy. The dart tip is also connected through a rigid neck portion that further improves the accuracy of the dart during use. An alternative embodiment allows the user to place a pop cap within the dart tip that will explode to cause a loud bang when the dart contacts a hard object at the end of its flight. Side vents direct exhaust gases away from the target to improve safety.

TOY FOAM DART WITH IMPACT ABSORBING TIP
20240167798 · 2024-05-23 · ·

A toy form dart having an elongate dart body and a dart tip connected thereto. The dart tip has an outer surface extending from a top to a bottom thereof, and a hollow passage extends through the dart tip in a first direction defining first and second mouth openings on opposing. First and second pairs of eye socket indents are located between the respective first and second mouth openings and the top of the dart tip, with the first and second eye socket indents penetrating partially into the dart tip and an interior boundary wall formed between each one of the first pair of eye socket indents and each respective oppositely located one of the second pair of eye socket indents. The first and second pairs of eye socket indents and the respective first and second mouth openings form a face configuration on the opposing sides of the dart tip.

Mammal and fish biopsy dart

A dart for use in gathering a tissue sample from an animal is disclosed. The dart has an adapter base for fastening to an elongated dart delivery shaft. The adapter base has a distal threaded end. A dart tip is threaded onto the adapter base. The dart tip has a sharpened tubular end portion for entering through skin of an animal and a cylindrical chamber portion for receiving and holding at least part of a tissue sample. The chamber portion has a proximal portion adapted to be removably fastened to the distal threaded end of the adapter base and a distal portion merging with the sharpened tubular end portion, wherein the dart tip is configured to hold and retain the tissue sample received within the chamber portion while the dart tip is withdrawn from the animal.

Gaming system using projectile and target
10371491 · 2019-08-06 ·

A gaming system comprised of an elongated projectile and a target for said projectile to be projected into. The system includes a projectile and a target. The projectile has a head, an elongated shaft coupled to the head, and a tail coupled to a rear end of the shaft. The tail has a mechanical adapter for coupling the projectile to a projecting device. The head has a shock absorber coupled to a penetration prevention device. The head prevents the projectile from penetrating into a target. The target has at least one aperture located on the external surface of the target and an immobilizer for immobilizing a projectile which has entered the aperture.

Foam dart having a safety cap

A toy dart includes a deformable cap that safely impacts a target. The cap includes two layers of substantially parallel hollow passages that provide spaces that allow the cap to deform. The lower layer, having two hollow passages, is supported by exterior posts and an interior wall between the two hollow passages. The upper layer, having three hollow passages, is supported by exterior posts and interior walls that are laterally offset from the interior wall of the lower layer. The upper and lower layers are separated vertically by a substantially flat divider. Due to the difference in the number of hollow passages and interior walls in each layer, the upper layer is more rigid than the lower layer such that the lower layer of the cap deforms more than the upper layer of the cap upon initial impact with the target.

Tactile biofeedback reference attachment
10371481 · 2019-08-06 ·

A tactile reference attachment for providing a user with tactile biofeedback. The attachment includes a tactile reference feature that extends longitudinally along an exterior body surface and is formed with dimensions specifically tailored to harness the user's natural attributes of sensibility, proprioception, and neuromuscular memory to improve a user's performance.

MULTI-SEGMENTED SHAFT

A multi-segmented shaft or dart configured for launching as a projectile using an atlatl or spear-thrower. In contrast to conventional darts, non-limiting exemplary embodiments of multi-segmented shafts or darts are disclosed. Such multi-segmented shafts can be de-coupled into a plurality of segments for ease of transport and storage. The plurality of segments can be detachably coupled into a dart that can be launched as a projectile using an atlatl or thrown as a spear.

MODULAR AND CUSTOMIZABLE DARTS

The present invention relates generally to a new and improved projectile. More specifically, the invention relates to a compact and durable projectile that has a singular shaft-like body that is manufactured from stainless steel or other suitable materials. The projectile has a pointed tip, a handle, and a notch that allows the projectile to be pulled back against an elastic or tensioned member to ultimately propel the projectile towards its intended target upon its release. Differing embodiments of the projectile may also have various removable aerodynamic fins and arrow-head-like tips.
