A telescoped type ammunition including a case inside which is housed a sub-calibre projectile equipped with a segmented discarding sabot, a propellant charge and an igniting device for the propellant charge, wherein the sub-calibre projectile incorporates a prolonged part receiving a tail fin able to move between a folded position against the prolonged part and a deployed position, the sabot retaining the tail fin in the folded position, the sabot encloses the tail fin to isolate it so as to prevent any contact between the tail fin and the propellant charge.

MANEUVERING AEROMECHANICALLY STABLE SABOT SYSTEM
An aeromechanically stable sabot system that includes a center of gravity that is placed forward of an aerodynamic center of the aeromechanically stable sabot system when in steady-state flight. By placing the center of gravity forwards of the aerodynamic center, the sabot system exhibits positive longitudinal and directional stability. To illustrate, the sabot system and/or portions thereof will return to stable flight after being disturbed in pitch (vertically or about a transverse horizontal axis) or yaw (side to side or about a vertical axis) when traveling horizontally.
MANEUVERING AEROMECHANICALLY STABLE SABOT SYSTEM

Pyrotechnic delayed extended range shotgun munition
A two piece aerodynamic pusher consisting of a body and tailpiece. This pusher fits into a standard 40 mm cartridge case by means of three sabots. After the cartridge case is functioned, the combustion gases push the projectile forward and ignite a delay column located in the rear of the pusher. Upon muzzle exit, the sabots discard and the pusher continues down range as the delay column burns. Once the delay has burned, a charge located in the pusher body is ignited, pushing the payload out of the front of the projectile. The cap pops off, and the pellets are dispersed. This effectively moves the payload release point from the muzzle until a designated point down range based on the delay length.
LOW-OBSERVABLE PROJECTILE
A radar-absorbing material projectile system including a projectile with an outer layer of radar-absorbing material (RAM). A carrier or armature is disposed around the projectile, protecting the layer of RAM during the firing sequence. In some embodiments the carrier is a discarding carrier which falls away after firing, rendering the projectile low-observable with regard to radar detection due to the layer of RAM.

Enhanced polymer marking projectile for nonlethal cartridge
Nonlethal cartridges adapted to be chambered in a firearm having a barrel that includes rifling are provided. In one example, the cartridge includes a cartridge case and a sabot that is telescopically coupled to the cartridge case and that has a sabot mouth. A projectile includes a polymer base projectile portion disposed in the sabot mouth. A polymer front shell projectile portion is coupled to the polymer base projectile portion and has an outer surface that includes a circular locking rib feature that forms an interference fit with the sabot mouth. The polymer base projectile portion is configured to engage the rifling of the barrel to impart spin stabilization to the nonlethal projectile when propelled from the sabot in response to the expansion of a propellant gas.
