EFFECTOR HEALTH MONITOR SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR SAME
20210062764 · 2021-03-04 ·

An effector health monitor system is configured for coupling with an energetic component. The effector health monitor system includes a characteristic sensor suite including at least first and second characteristic sensors. The first characteristic sensor is proximate to the energetic component and configured to measure a failure characteristic of the energetic component. The second characteristic sensor is configured to measure at least one environmental characteristic proximate to the energetic component. A communication hub is coupled with the first and second characteristic sensors, and is configured to communicate the measured failure and environmental characteristics outside of an effector body. A failure identification module compares the measured failure characteristic with a failure threshold and identifies a failure event. A failure model generation module logs the at least one measured environmental characteristic preceding the identified failure event with the identified failure event and generates a failure model including updating the failure model.

Displaceable Signal Relay Node Package
20200373997 · 2020-11-26 ·

The present disclosure describes a signal relay node that is physically displaceable by a delivery system to move the signal relay node to a different location, to enable the signal relay node to overcome physical obstructions to signal propagation. A delivery system, such as a launching system, can launch the signal relay node encased within a housing unit, such as a projectile cap. Upon launch into the air, an additional aloft package may provide an aerostat, parachute, and/or a propeller and motor system to keep the signal relay node aloft in the air for a longer period of time.

Forward firing fragmentation (FFF) munition including fragmentation adjustment system and associated methods

The forward firing fragmentation (FFF) munition includes a body, a flight system carried by the body and configured to maneuver the munition in flight, and a warhead carried by the body and including an explosive configured to detonate and expel fragments in a pattern. A near field barrier (near field barrier), such as the guidance system, is carried by the body in front of the warhead and communicatively coupled via a communication link to the flight system. A fragmentation adjustment system is configured to physically displace the near field barrier relative to the warhead while maintaining the communication link between the near field barrier and the flight system until detonation of the explosive.
