Mechanical rotary shock testing machines
A linear and rotary shock-testing machine including: a base; a shaft rotatably and translationally movable relative to the base; a test disc for holding one or more specimens to be tested, the test disc being rotatable with the shaft; one of a cam and cam follower fixed relative to the base; and an other of the cam and cam follower fixed to the test disc, wherein the shaft being driven to provide a rotational shock to the one or more test specimens; and the cam is shaped such that the cam follower follows the cam to urge the test disc into a translational motion while rotating to provide translational shock to the one or more specimens.

Projectiles with insert-molded polymer tips
Aspects of the disclosure are directed to manufacturing an insert-molded expanding projectile. Aspects of the disclosure include locating a portion of a projectile body within a converging tip mold, the projectile body including a metal jacket extending from a tail portion to a nose portion and surrounding an interior solid core. The metal jacket and nose portion may be tapered in a forward direction to an annular forward edge defining an opening to an undercut interior cavity. Melted polymer may be injected into the converging tip mold and allowed to cool thereby forming a polymer tip having a main portion forward of the opening and a tip retention portion filling the undercut interior cavity and having a shape corresponding to the undercut interior cavity to retain the polymer tip in place.

Projectile having a caliber of less than 13 mm and a system for tracking a projectile
The present invention relates to a projectile having a caliber of less than 13 mm, comprising a bullet jacket defining a cavity and a position transmitter arranged in the cavity.
AERODYNAMICALLY IMPROVED AND DYNAMICALLY STABILIZED BULLET
An aerodynamically improved bullet mounted atop a bullet and fired from a discharge chamber of a gun includes a bullet having a rear portion and a front portion that, together, defines an interior area. A rod having a linear and elongate configuration is movable between a retracted configuration completely inside the interior area and an extended configuration partially extending forwardly of the bullet the rod being pushed downstream by the gas pressures of the discharged bullet itself.
Multi-piece projectile with an insert formed via a powder metallurgy process
A bullet, having: an insert including a sintered metal material; a main body including a non-sintered material and a bore bounded by a sidewall, where the insert is disposed in the bore; and an empty volume bounded in part by the bore and in part by the insert.

Bullet and casing projectile for rifled barrel
A projectile for loading into a rifled barrel includes a casing having a cylindrical body, a forward aerodynamic end, and a free end opposite the aerodynamic end, the cylindrical body of the casing defining an interior cavity extending to and in open communication with the free end. The projectile also has a bullet sized to initially slidably engage the casing along a partial length of the interior cavity through the free end. Upon discharge of propellant, the bullet is forced to slidably engage the casing farther within the cavity, preferably such that an entire length of the bullet is housed within the casing cavity, whereby a circumference of the casing is increased such that the increased circumference of the casing catches barrel rifling of the muzzleloader rifle. This allows a smaller caliber bullet to be used in a fouled barrel, while increasing accuracy of the muzzleloader rifle.
