WARHEAD
A method is provided for producing a component for a warhead, wherein the method involves the steps: i.) an inner shell is arranged on a tool, ii.) preshaped projectiles are arranged on the inner shell, iii.) powder is arranged to enclose the preshaped projectiles, iv.) the powder is pressed such that the powder, the preshaped projectiles, and the inner shell are joined together, v.) the tool is removed from the component formed from the powder, the preshaped projectiles, and the inner shell. A warhead and a projectile are also provided.
Embedded mounting devices and methods
A mounting device that is used to suspend items in a specific location inside the cavity of a tubular structure, such as a munition, is disclosed. The mounting device includes: a pedestal for leading the insertion of the mounting device into a cavity of a munition and a skeletal frame. The skeletal frame defines an opening therein for holding an article inside the outermost portion of the skeletal frame. In some cases, the skeletal frame may have a fixed configuration. In other cases, the skeletal frame may be collapsible and expandable so that it may be inserted into a cavity of a munition having an obstruction therein. Methods of inserting and mounting an article inside an internal explosive cavity of a munition are also disclosed.
Method of producing plated powder-core projectile
A method of forming a projectile for use in a firearm ammunition cartridge, the method including mixing a first material and a second material having different densities to produce a core mixture, disposing the core mixture in a die, heating the core mixture to the melting point, removing the core mixture from the die, quenching the core mixture, and plating the core mixture with a jacket material.
Diffuser for polymer ammunition cartridges
The present invention provides a diffuser cup adapted to fit a primer recess in an ammunition cartridge comprising: a diffuser ring sized to fit in a primer recess for an ammunition cartridge comprising a diffuser top surface opposite a diffuser bottom surface, a diffuser aperture positioned through the diffuser top surface and the diffuser bottom surface such that the diffuser aperture can align with a flash hole, a diffuser neck positioned about the diffuser aperture to extend away from the diffuser top surface, wherein the diffuser neck is sized to fit at least partially through the flash hole; a ring connected to the diffuser neck, wherein the ring comprises a ring aperture connected to the diffuser neck to align the ring aperture and the diffuser aperture; and a cup wall attached to the diffuser ring to extend away from the diffuser bottom surface, wherein the cup wall is configured to frictionally fit a primer and frictionally fit a primer recess.

AMMUNITION PRESS AND COMPONENTS THEREOF
An ammunition press for manufacturing or reloading ammunition cartridges. The ammunition press includes an adjustable shell holder for holding ammunition shells (sometimes called cases) of various sizes. A catch tray is provided for collecting spent primers or other debris. According to a user's preference, the ammunition press can be customized to provide an over-center actuated configuration or a non-over-center actuated configuration. A light is integrated with the press for illuminating the shell holder. Components of the press and associated methods are also disclosed.
Spotter ammunition projectile and method for making the same
Spotter ammunition projectiles adapted to be fired from a firearm, methods for making spotter ammunition projectiles, and spotter ammunition cartridges including spotter ammunition projectiles are provided. In one example, a spotter ammunition projectile includes a projectile body section extending in a distal direction to a body distal end portion. A projectile ogive is coupled to the body distal end portion and has an outer ogive surface that tapers in the distal direction towards a shoulder. The projectile ogive includes a post that is disposed adjacent to the shoulder and that extends therefrom in the distal direction. An ogive nose cap is disposed adjacent to the shoulder and covers the post. The post and the ogive nose cap are cooperatively configured to define a cavity therebetween. A pyrotechnic spotter composition is disposed in the cavity.
SUBSONIC POLYMERIC AMMUNITION CARTRIDGE
The present invention provides a subsonic ammunition cartridge including a polymeric casing body comprising a generally cylindrical hollow polymer body having a body base at a first end thereof and a mouth at a second end to define a propellant chamber; a propellant insert positioned in the propellant chamber to reduce the internal volume of the propellant chamber, wherein the propellant chamber has an internal volume that is between 25 and 80% less than the open internal volume of a standard casing of equivalent caliber; and a primer insert positioned at the body base and in communication with the propellant chamber.
