Apparatus and method for increased realism of training on exercise machines
An exercise machine includes a cyclical actuator and a mechanical energy storage device. Connective structure operatively connects the cyclical actuator to the mechanical energy storage device. Motion of the cyclical actuator urges physical motion of and energy storage in the mechanical energy storage device. The exercise machine further includes an electric machine. A communication pathway enables exchange of data between multiple associated exercise machines such that multiple associated operators on multiple associated exercise machines have a common experience.
Exercise assembly for performing different rowing routines
An exercise assembly structured to perform different rowing routines characterized different rowing motions. A resistance device is movable within a chamber and is cooperatively structured therewith to resist such movement. A drive assembly includes two drive sections each independently connected in driving relation to said resistance device. A connector structure includes two connector members each attached to a handle and connected in driving relation to a different one of said drive sections. The handle is selectively movable through the plurality of different rowing motions, at least one of which results in the two drive sections concurrently driving the resistance member and being concurrently driven by the two connector members. At least one other rowing motion of the handle is defined by each drive section alternately driving the resistance member and being alternately driven by interconnected ones of said connector members.
Paddling training device and board
A board paddling training apparatus for assisting in improving a user's paddling technique and strength. In particular, the board paddling training apparatus includes a buoyant board, such as a board adapted for surfing, bodyboarding, paddleboarding, or other board-related sport that entails paddling, and includes a resistance mechanism that creates drag or resistance against a user's paddle stroke. Some implementations of the resistance mechanism can be adjustable in order to create a variety of resistance against the user's paddle stroke and board movement.
EXERCISE ASSEMBLY FOR A PADDLER
An exercise apparatus comprises a body having a top surface adapted to support a user standing thereon, an endless band extending around said body along a path substantially perpendicular to said top surface, said endless band being slidably supported by said top body for rotational movement thereabout and a plurality of protrusions extending from said endless band adapted to be engaged upon by an object manipulated by the user.
Handle Attachment and Hybrid Paddle
A hybrid paddle for use in both a standing and a kneeling position is disclosed. The paddle has a shaft terminating in a blade at each end. At or near each throat or junction between the shaft and a blade is a handle. The handle has a grip sufficiently offset from the blade to allow a user to grip the handle without his or her hand colliding with the blade. While kneeling, the user grips the shaft with both hands, and alternates the placement of the blades in the water. While standing, the user grasps the handle with one hand and the shaft with the other hand, and a single blade is placed in the water. In this way, the same paddle is used in both the standing and kneeling positions, and the user can alternate between standing and kneeling as desired.
Paddling apparatus
A paddling apparatus that includes a paddle having a blade on at least one end of a paddle shaft, an attachment removably attachable to the paddle shaft, and an accessory connecting element on a first side of the attachment for removably connecting at least one accessory to the attachment. The accessory includes a training aid that has a first base rotatably attached with the accessory connecting element and an elongated element pivotally attached to the base.
Exercise device handle and method of using same
An exercise device handle for an exercise device comprises a handle tube including at least one straight portion, at least one bent portion, and opposite ends; and a stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) grip at one or both of the opposite ends of the handle tube.
Non-permanent whitewater water course
The invention relates to a white-water river, comprising a river bed capable of guiding a current of water between an upper inlet of the bed and a lower outlet of the bed, and including water-feeding means for injecting a stream of water at the upper inlet of the bed. The river bed is made up of a series of individual bed modules, adjacent to one another, and assembled via respective transverse contact surfaces. The individual bed modules are supported via a lower surface by a modular lattice bearing structure.
PROPER ROWING TECHNIQUE
The present invention relates to systems and devices for improving of a rower's technique. In particular, the invention provides one or more clamps that can be used in conjunction with a rowing machine to provide external cues that the rower can use to monitor and correct his or her catch technique without the assistance of a coach or other person.
