System for truing aspects of a cartridge case
A method and apparatus for truing a cartridge case with an apparatus including a frame defining a chamber and having a central axis, and a cartridge sleeve defining a cartridge passage with a passage surface for engaging the exterior surface of the body of the case, and a tool extending along the central axis of the frame with a tip end extending into the chamber. The frame may include a tool mandrel portion configured to mount the tool on the frame, and a sleeve mandrel portion configured to mount the cartridge sleeve on the frame. The sleeve mandrel portion may permit the cartridge sleeve and a cartridge case mounted thereon to translate with respect to the frame along the central axis of the frame, the sleeve mandrel portion permitting the cartridge sleeve and a cartridge case mounted thereon to rotate about the central axis with respect to the frame.

Necking sizing die for shoulder breeching rifle cartridges
A neck sizing die for shoulder breeching ammunition cartridge cases that uses the shoulder to align the case, not the body. Alignment occurs before resizing. Resizing is done in a two-step process: a bushing is used to shrink the neck diameter and then an expansion button is used to increase it. Bushing and button diameters are highly selectable and easily changed. Cone-and-cup interfaces ensure concentricity of the case shoulder to the bushing or button. The unique alignment technique and two-step sizing method produces a case with a neck having an interior diameter of the user's choice with the interior wall of the neck aligned to the shoulder. This results in a case that will more reliably position the bullet concentric with the bore of the barrel than existing tools and methods.
Case hone
A tube with a conical mouth slides over the neck of an ammunition cartridge and is pressed against the shoulder to align the case. A neck reamer translates and rotates within the tube, the tip being inserted into the neck. Both mouth and tip are replaceable, come in different sizes, and come with smooth or abrading surfaces. The tip and the mouth are coaxial. The mouth perfects the shoulder surface and the tip perfects the neck interior. This results in a cartridge case having a neck with an interior wall that is a perfect cylinder that is coaxial with the perfected exterior of the conical shoulder.
Automated object-sorting apparatus
An object-sorting apparatus includes a housing that extends from a top end to a bottom end, at least one vibration element, and a plurality of stages arranged in a vertical sequence in the housing between the top end and the bottom end. At least one of the stages includes a sorting base that at least partially defines a floor of the at least one stage. The sorting base is coupled to the at least one vibration element, and is configured to receive thereon a mixture of objects having different sizes, including a target size associated with the at least one stage. The stage also includes apertures defined in and extending through the sorting base and into flow communication with a next lower stage. The apertures are sized to receive therethrough, from the mixture, objects having a size smaller than the target size associated with the at least one stage.
Automated object-sorting apparatus
An object-sorting apparatus includes a housing that extends from a top end to a bottom end, at least one vibration element, and a plurality of stages arranged in a vertical sequence in the housing between the top end and the bottom end. At least one of the stages includes a sorting base that at least partially defines a floor of the at least one stage. The sorting base is coupled to the at least one vibration element, and is configured to receive thereon a mixture of objects having different sizes, including a target size associated with the at least one stage. The stage also includes apertures defined in and extending through the sorting base and into flow communication with a next lower stage. Device and Method of Determining the Force Required to Remove a Projectile from an Ammunition Cartridge
The present invention includes a device for determining the force necessary for the separation of a bullet from an ammunition cartridge comprising a chamber housing having central bore extending from a lower housing end to an upper housing end and terminating at a upper aperture, wherein the central bore comprises a chamber diameter adapted to accept an ammunition cartridge and that the bullet partially extends from the upper aperture; a frustaconical shape shoulder in the central bore at the upper housing end to reduce the chamber diameter to mate to an ammunition cartridge shoulder; a neck that connects the upper aperture to the frustaconical shape shoulder adapted to accept an ammunition cartridge neck; a cartridge retention lip within the upper aperture adapted to contact an ammunition cartridge bullet aperture; a chamber mount adapted to connect the chamber housing and a testing device; a bullet securing device comprising a bullet securing end to secure the bullet and a bullet securing device mount adapted to connect to the testing device; a moving mechanism to move the bullet securing device away from the chamber housing; a sensor in communication with the moving mechanism to measure a force exerted by the moving mechanism; and a display in communication with the sensor to display and or record the force.
