A magazine mount includes a mechanism to releasably hold a weapon magazine in a substantially upright orientation, wherein the mechanism to releasably hold the magazine includes a rectangular housing having an open top and sidewalls, and an axle pin that is fit through a spool, allowing the spool to freely rotate on the axle pin, the axle pin is fit at opposite ends into longitudinal slots through each respective sidewall of the housing. At least one spring backed up by a portion of the housing, exerts a resilient force on the axle pin, urging the axle pin and the spool forwardly in the housing to press on a back end of a weapon magazine held in the housing. The housing has a retainer at a forward end having an underlying clearance to receive a forward side lip of a weapon magazine.

Embodiments of the invention relate to load carrier systems and associated manufacturing methods. In one embodiment, a load carrier system can include a unitary piece of material. The unitary piece of material can include a body portion comprising a first face side, an opposing face side, a first peripheral edge and an opposing second peripheral edge; and one or more straps comprising a respective extended end, wherein the straps are an integral part of the body portion; wherein the one or more straps are folded over onto the first face side adjacent to the first peripheral edge; and wherein at least one respective end of the one or more straps is fastened to the opposing second peripheral edge.

An ejection mechanism to clear a magazine from the opening may also be provided. The magazine comprises an outer shell that interacts with the receiver to secure the magazine, and holds an arming mechanism that is manipulated by twisting or pulling to selectively cover apertures in the outer shell to secure the paintballs within the magazine, or uncover the apertures to release the paintballs.

An assembly for rapid loading and feeding of paintballs in a paintball marker comprises a receiver mountable on the marker, having an opening to receive and secure a magazine carrying paintballs. An ejection mechanism to clear a magazine from the opening may also be provided.
