Egg product for infants and babies and method of making same
An egg food product is provided that when mixed with baby food and given regularly to a baby will reduce the likelihood of the baby developing a food allergy to eggs. The egg food product is produced by taking whole eggs or egg whites and mixing or whipping them, either by themselves or with other ingredients such as rice, tapioca, wheat, corn, nut flours, soy flour, or bean flour. An acid or acid salt containing food product such as citric acid, lemon juice, and cream of tartar may be added while mixing or whipping the eggs in order to help firm the eggs or egg whites and allow them to retain more air. The resulting batter is then baked in order to produce a cake-like product. The resulting cake is then dried in order to remove substantially all moisture. The dried cake is then ground or milled into a powder.
Process for producing a composition for increasing muscle mass
A process for producing a composition from a biological source, which composition is preserved and, especially pathogen free and is storage stable, preferably at room temperature. Embodiments of the invention provide a process for producing a composition from eggs.
Omega-3 fatty acid enrichment of poultry products with defatted microalgae animal feed
The present invention relates to omega-3 fatty acid enrichment, and n-6 to n-3 fatty acid ratio improvement, of poultry products using animal feed supplemented with defatted microalgae, and treatment methods involving such poultry products. One aspect of the present invention relates to a method of producing poultry eggs with elevated amounts of n-3 fatty acids. This method involves feeding poultry an amount of defatted microalgae under conditions effective for the poultry to produce an egg comprising about 300 mg to about 550 mg of n-3 fatty acids.
HUMAN AND NON-HUMAN ANIMAL USE OF MICROBIAL ANAPLEROTIC OIL
Disclosed are techniques and systems for producing microbials having anaplerotic oils that are rich in odd-chain fatty acids, and other beneficial components, at higher concentrations than those present in other natural dietary sources of OCFA, at lower cost, and higher production yield. Further, disclosed are examples of incorporation of these higher concentration OCFA products into food for human and non-human animal consumption.
CRISP PROTEINACEOUS FOOD PRODUCT
A crisp proteinaceous food product provided from ingredients in which egg white proteins constitute the majority of total proteins present is described. Other ingredients include water, expanded starch(es), vegetable flour(s), and at least one source of vegetable protein. The protein can be labeled as being more than 50% (w/w) protein, and at least 50% (w/w) of those denatured proteins can be ovalbumin (or trace their origin to ovalbumin).
PREPARED FOODS HAVING HIGH EFFICACY OMEGA-6/OMEGA-3 BALANCED POLYUNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS
A composition and method for supplementing food, nutrition, and diet systems with omega-6 to omega-3 balanced oils comprising a synergistic blend of at least two oils. The composition further comprises a synergistic blend of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids as a means to further increase the nutritional value. The composition provides an effective increase in therapeutic and pharmacological properties in nutrition, and retards the rate of oxidation thereof.
Non-linear slotted waveguide for diverse application
Structures and methods of using a microwave pasteurization device, as well as related non-linear waveguides. In some embodiments, an in-shell egg pasteurization device with a non-linear slotted waveguide. In some embodiments the non-linear slotted waveguide comprises shaped waveguide applicators. The shaped waveguide applicators may employ oval, lens, or plum shaped non-linear slots to improve efficiency and efficacy of pasteurizing in-shell eggs, live oysters, tomatoes, or blueberries while maintianly the quality and functional attributes of the raw product.
Prepared foods having high efficacy omega-6/omega-3 balanced polyunsaturated fatty acids
A composition and method for supplementing food, nutrition, and diet systems with omega-6 to omega-3 balanced oils comprising a synergistic blend of at least two oils. The composition further comprises a synergistic blend of long chain omega-3 oil as a means to further increase the nutritional value. The composition provides an effective increase in therapeutic and pharmacological properties in nutrition and diet systems.
INGREDIENT-CONTAINING SEASONING AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
To provide an ingredient-containing seasoning having an egg flavor and a creamy texture without a quality deterioration due to emulsification with oil and fat which is peculiar to an emulsified seasoning such as a conventional egg flavor seasoning. The seasoning contains an egg yolk, acetic acid, and an ingredient, has a viscosity of 700 mPa.Math.s or more and 5000 mPa.Math.s at 20 C., has a content ratio of the egg yolk more than 1 mass % and 18 mass % or less, and has an oil/fat content of 10 mass % or less with respect to the entire seasoning.
