The present invention relates generally to the field of retention devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a sports club wearable retention device that creates an attachment between users and their equipment, reducing the risk that a user's equipment accidently flies out of their hands if they lose their grip on said equipment. The device is primarily comprised of at least one strap, at least one tether and at least one clamp. The tether features two clips fastened to each side of the tether. In this manner, the tether attaches to the clamp, which is fixed on the club, and to a strap that the user wears. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices and methods of manufacture.

Providing visual motion feedback based on sensor data

The present disclosure is directed to a body-worn sensor-based system for evaluating the biomechanics and the motor adaptation characteristics of postural control during a sport activity such as a golf swing. Various embodiments use sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers to measure the three-dimensional motion of ankle and hip joints. In several embodiments, additional sensors attached to other body segments are used to improve the accuracy of the data or detect particular instants during the swing (e.g., top of back swing, instant of the maximum speed of arm, and instant of ball impact). In a golf embodiment, the system combines the measured data in conjunction with a biomechanical model of the human body to: (1) estimate the two-dimensional sway of the golfer's center of mass; (2) quantify and evaluate the golfer's balance via his/her postural compensatory strategy; and (3) provide visual feedback to the golfer for improving dynamic postural control.

Golfing Level Assembly

A golfing level assembly includes a cap that has a brim which extends above a user's line of sight when the user is wearing the cap. A pair of hinges is each disposed on the brim and each of the hinges is positionable in a deployed position or a stored position. A bubble level is coupled to each of the hinges and the bubble level is spaced downwardly from the brim when the hinges are positioned in the deployed position such that the bubble level is positioned within the user's line of sight. The bubble level has a reference line extending along a full length of the bubble level and the reference line is aligned with the visible horizon. In this way the bubble level indicates the degree of slope of the putting green to assist the user with successfully putting on the putting green.

A golf swing training device for controlling head movements of a golfer during a swing includes a vertical support assembly, a horizontal arm coupled to the vertical support assembly, and a head engaging assembly carried by the horizontal arm. The head engaging assembly includes a generally U-shaped collar divided into two half portions hingedly coupled together and movable between an open position and a closed position. At least one of the two half portions has a coupling removably receiving the horizontal arm.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING AND/OR ANALYZING SWING INFORMATION
20220054889 · 2022-02-24 ·

In a first aspect, a method for monitoring a golf swing is provided that includes coupling a mobile telephone to a golf club and employing the mobile telephone coupled to the golf club to monitor acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings while a user swings the golf club, collect acceleration information based on the monitored acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings, analyze the collected acceleration information to determine one or more characteristics of the golf swing based on the collected acceleration information, and output information regarding the one or more characteristics of the golf swing on the display of the mobile telephone. Numerous other aspects are provided.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING LOWER BODY POSITIONS, MOVEMENTS, AND SEQUENCE IN GOLF SWING TRAINING
20220054920 · 2022-02-24 ·

Disclosed are various embodiments of golf training device that helps a golfer learn and coordinate lower body positions and movements with upper body movements, using a series of feedback signals. In one embodiment, among others, a system comprises a foot sensor that attaches to a Lead Foot of a user. The foot sensor is configured to detect a heel of the Lead Foot being raised. The system also comprises a leg sensor that attaches to a Trail Leg of the user, and the leg sensor detects a bend in the Trail Leg of the user. The foot sensor is configured to detect the heel being lowered at an instance after the detection of the bend in the Trail Leg. The system further comprises a feedback device configured to activate one or more feedback indicators after the detections of foot and/or leg movements.

Monitoring watch

A watch can include a wrist strap, memory, an accelerometer, and a pressure sensor that responds to muscle movement at a wrist. Various other devices, systems, methods, etc., are also disclosed.

Golf swing wrist condition training device

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided various embodiments of a golf swing training device which is uniquely configured to maintain a desirable bent wrist condition through the entirety of the downswing (including golf ball impact) and follow-though or finish of the golf swing. More particularly, the training device constructed in accordance with the present invention allows the wearer/user to start the golf swing with the right wrist in its natural, generally flattened condition at address. Once the backswing of the golf stroke is initiated, the training device of the present invention allows the wearer/user to bend the right wrist back naturally, and at different amounts so as to represent the different amounts of right wrist bend a golfer may employ for shorter and longer strokes. Once the right wrist has achieved its full amount of bend at the time of the downswing, the training device constructed in accordance with the present invention effectively maintains such bend throughout the entirety of the downswing and follow-through or finish of the golf swing.
