Golf putting training aid

A golfing appartaus for assisting a golfer in putting includes a guide member adapted to encourage only certain motions during the golf swing to improve the engagement of ball with club and subsequently improve ball control, trajectory and speed. Further the golfing apparatus includes a movable member configured to slide along a path defined by the guide member and coupled with the putter handle. The guide member is afixed to the waist of a golfer. The guide member is curved to follow a natural rotation of arms and shoulders of the golfer and can be adjusted for proper angle that best fits a golfer's stance and has a second planar back stop surface to further align and control the movement of the putter club head, thereby assisting the golfer in putting.

A system and process for training a user's sports swing to maintain arm position and body rotation so as to promote a proper swing arc. The system includes a waist wrap having one or more attachment area on an outer surface. The system also includes one or more training blocks configured for attachment to the attachment area depending upon the type of swing being practices. The process promotes a proper swing arc by indicating incorrect arm position and/or body rotation through excessive contact between the user's arms and the training blocks during the swing. The goal of the system and process is to train a user's muscle memory for the correct arm position and body rotation in a proper swing arc.

The correct golf swing path is that of an angled sphere. Typically, when a golf club swings through impact it is at a shaft-angle of between 44 and 65 degreeswith a driver swung at the lower angle of 44 to 50 while irons become progressively steeper in angle; the shorter more lofted wedges approach a 65 degree lie-angle. That said, for a short period of time during the swings of professionals and accomplished amateurs, the club is swung STRAIGHT through into the ball and down the target-line for a period of 12 inches (30 cm)6 inches before and 6 inches after impact (referred to as the flat spot). This swing training aid helps less accomplished golfers achieve this flat spotswinging straight through impact on the correct angle with all golf clubs. Four, six-inch angled polymer poles attach to a base made for driver and wood shots off a tee, and iron and wood-shots off the ground. The goal is to swing the club between the poles and into the ball without striking the poles. The player gets feedback on his or her swing-path when he or she hits or misses the poles and then adjusts the swing accordingly. Different sets of angled poles (Driver/Woods and Irons) are fixed to the base's external driver and iron lines for use with the various clubs; the ball is aligned with one of the two center lines; one line is for tee-shots and the other is for shots hit from the ground.

The subject invention comprises a system, and method of using the system, for providing improved alignment in multiple dimensions. Appropriate settings include woodworking, machining, and sports, although there are several other practical applications for this technology. This system allows for simultaneous alignment along the x, y, and z axes. Another embodiment of this invention incorporates the multi-dimensional alignment station with one or more horizontal alignment stations. Each of the alignment stations have a base and top, guides that fit into the station tops and bases, and positional locks that lock the rotating element into place relative to the base plate and the alignment guides in place within the alignment stations.

To present a measurement result on the motion of a subject more easily, a processor 3 of an analysis system S includes an image acquisition unit 357, a sensor information acquisition unit 356, an analysis unit 358, and an image creation unit 359. The image acquisition unit 357 acquires a taken image of the subject. The sensor information acquisition unit 356 acquires a measurement result of the motion of the subject measured with a sensor. The analysis unit 358 creates an index indicating the motion of the subject based on the measurement result acquired by the sensor information acquisition unit 356. The image creation unit 359 makes an output unit 319 display an image acquired by the image acquisition unit 357 and an index created by the analysis unit 358 together.

The presently disclosed subject matter is generally directed to one or more golf alignment rods that can be used as a multipurpose golf training aid, such as to teach proper golf club alignment and/or swing technique. Particularly, the alignment rod comprises a base defined by a first end and a second end. The alignment rod further includes a cap positioned at one end of the base. The cap comprises a magnet positioned on an interior surface. The magnet allows two or more alignment rods to be removably coupled together, such as when stored upright in a golf bag. In this way, movement of the alignment rods in the golfer's bag (e.g., when the cart is in motion) is minimized. In addition, the alignment rods are more easily accessible when needed by the golfer.
