A system that wirelessly integrates actual sports equipment with a computer and the internet to allow players remotely located from one another to play a competitive simulated sports game. An individual player may opt to play solo or practice to improve basic techniques. The system includes motion sensors connected to the player and a motion sensing device, all containing circuits and contact or motion sensors coupled with signal processing and radio frequency transmitter circuitry, thereby wirelessly communicate game performance information to a remote receiver-computer. The computer displays player information and visually simulates and controls a game between two players via the internet, having similar equipment and remotely located from each other. Standard sports equipment may be retrofitted with the sensors and associated circuitry to convert such equipment into “smart equipment” for use with the system. The system employs specially developed computer software to process player performance data, control game play, communicate game information between players, generate and control visual simulations and display player performance information.

GOLF PUTTING TRAINING AID
20170333776 · 2017-11-23 ·

Ejector devices and methods for golf putting training are provided. An ejector device can be configured for placement in a regulation golf hole. The ejector device can include a top member connected to a base by a lift mechanism. The lift mechanism is operated by a motor in response to commands received from a controller. The controller can selectively actuate the motor and cause the lift mechanism to raise the top member relative to the base, to thereby eject a golf ball from the hole. Such actuation can be in response to detecting the receipt of a selected number of golf balls in the hole. Alternatively, the ejector device can be operated in response to an actuation command entered by a user through a remote control device wirelessly connected to the ejector device.

GOLF PUTTING APPARATUS
20170296899 · 2017-10-19 ·

A golf putting apparatus is presented. The apparatus includes a putter with a shaft and a club head, wherein the club head has a center section carved out to form an opening. The bottom of the opening may be defined by a connector. When used with the opening uncovered, this putter provides the golfer with immediate feedback on his/her swing, such as whether the ball would have contacted the sweet spot of the club had the opening been closed, how hard the ball was hit, and which part of the ball was hit. A club face may be attached across the opening to “close” the opening so the putter may be used in a game.

Golf training device and method for golf training

A golf training device is described, and which forms an aiming point which is directed towards a golf ball by the correct positioning of a golfer's head and body, and wherein the aiming point assists the golfer in positioning and maintaining the golfer's head and body in an appropriate orientation relative to the golf ball so that the golfer may continually view the aiming point which is directed towards the golf ball through at least a portion of the golf swing of a golfer to strike the golf ball and thereby achieve improved golfing performance.

Putting stroke analysis device
09782656 · 2017-10-10 · ·

The present invention is directed towards a putting stroke analysis device for analyzing a putting stroke technique of a golfer. The putting stroke analysis device comprises a planar surface with a plurality of infrared emitters and co-operating infrared sensors thereon. A golfer swings their putter over the planar surface, above the plurality of infrared emitters and co-operating infrared sensors. An infrared beam, emitted by the infrared emitters, is reflected by the putter and is detected by one or more of the infrared sensors. The putting stroke analysis device has a processor which receives information from the co-operating infrared sensors and processes the information to determine putting characteristics of the putting stroke technique. The putting characteristics include, but are not limited to, speed of putter head, velocity of putter head, acceleration of putter head, speed of golf ball, velocity of golf ball, acceleration of golf ball, swing path of putter head, angle of attack of putter head, angle of putter head at impact with a golf ball, and, impact point on a putter face of the putter head at impact with a golf ball.

In general, an exercise device includes a handle having a first end and a second end. A curved member is coupled to the first end of the handle. A movable member is coupled to the curved member, with the movable member configured to travel along a length of the curved member, where the movable member has a first portion and a second portion, and the second portion is configured to move relative to the first portion. An elongate member has a first end and a second end, and the first end of the elongate member is coupled to the second portion of the movable member. A weight is coupled to the second end of the elongate member.

SHORT GAME GOLF TRAINER SYSTEM
20170216700 · 2017-08-03 ·

A short game golf trainer system in three releasably coupled parts: a horizontal base, a vertical support, and a cantilever horizontal top plate. The base has anchoring features, such as holes for receiving spikes, for anchoring the base to a putting green. The support is preferably one piece of molded plastic. The top plate is generally an irregular hexagonal plate and may have an arcuate front side. When assembled, the top plate is cantilevered from the support. The top plate has a viewing port located nearer the front side than the rear, but spaced apart from the front side by more than half of a golf ball diameter. The viewing port has a diameter less than a golf ball diameter. Top plates may be made in different lengths: longer for putting and shorter for chipping and pitching. Supports may be made in different heights: shorter for putting and higher for chipping and pitching.
