A volumetric expander (20) configured to transfer a working fluid and generate useful work includes a housing. The housing includes an inlet port (24) configured to admit relatively high-pressure working fluid and an outlet port (26) configured to discharge to a relatively low-pressure working fluid. The expander also includes first and second twisted meshed rotors (30,32) rotatably disposed in the housing and configured to exp/and the relatively high-pressure working fluid into the relatively low-pressure working fluid. Each rotor has a plurality of lobes, and when one lobe of the first rotor is leading with respect to the inlet port, one lobe of the second rotor is trailing with respect to the inlet port. The expander additionally includes an output shaft (38) rotated by the relatively high-pressure working fluid as the fluid undergoes expansion. A system for generating work using the expander in a Rankine cycle is also disclosed.

PARALLEL MOTION HEAT ENERGY POWER MACHINE AND WORKING METHOD THEREOF
A parallel motion heat energy power machine and a working method thereof, includes a heat collector, an insulating pipe, a gasification reactor, an atomizer, a cylinder, a piston, a piston ring, an automatic exhaust valve, a cooler, a liquid storage tank, a pressure pump, a push-pull rod, an insulating layer, and a housing. The two cylinders are oppositely arranged on the housing in parallel. The piston is arranged inside the cylinder. The piston is provided with the piston ring. The pistons are arranged on both ends of the push-pull rod. The heat collector is connected to the gasification reactor through the insulating pipe. The atomizer is arranged on the air inlet end of the gasification reactor. The parallel motion heat energy power machine and working method thereof has a high heat-energy conversion efficiency. It is energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and less noisy.
PLANT AND PROCESS OF CONVERTING THERMAL ENERGY INTO MECHANICAL AND/OR ELECTRICAL ENERGY
The present invention relates to a process and plant (1) for converting thermal energy into electrical and/or mechanical energy. The plant includes a closed circuit (2), a pump (13) to circulate the working fluid in the closed circuit (2), an evaporator (3) to heat the working fluid to cause it to change from a liquid to a gaseous state, a volumetric expander (4) operating in the closed circuit (2) downstream of the evaporator (3) and configured to receive working as an input fluid in the gaseous state, a condenser (16) operating on the closed circuit (2) downstream of the volumetric expander (4) and upstream of the pump (13) to condense the working fluid determining its transition from the gaseous to the liquid state. The pump (13) in turn comprises a first compartment positionable in fluid communication with a first portion (2a) of the closed circuit (2), extending downstream of the pump (13) and upstream of the evaporator (3), to send working fluid in the liquid state to the same evaporator (3), and a second compartment that may be positioned in fluid communication with a second portion (2b) of the closed circuit, extending upstream of the volumetric expander (4) and downstream of said first portion (2a), to receive working fluid in the gaseous state generated by the evaporator (3). The working fluid in the gaseous state expands the second compartment and causes a volume reduction of the first compartment by promoting the pumping of the working fluid in the liquid state to the evaporator (3).
