Portable fielding system
A portable fielding system comprising a Chassis Assembly, a motorized Yaw Mechanism connected to said Chassis Assembly, a motorized Pitch Mechanism connected to said Yaw Mechanism, a Ball Launcher Mechanism connected to said Pitch Mechanism, a Ball Feeder Mechanism connected to said Chassis Assembly and Ball Launcher Mechanism, and a Control System Assembly connected to said Chassis Assembly, wherein said Yaw Mechanism positions the Pitch Mechanism and Ball Launcher Mechanism at some angle about their yaw axes, wherein said Pitch Mechanism positions the Ball Launcher Mechanism at some angle about its pitch axis.
Portable Fielding System
The disclosed invention is drawn to a motorized fielding system capable of launching balls at a wide range of trajectories defined by its distance and orientation with respect to its yaw and pitch axes. This system comprises a chassis assembly; a motorized yaw mechanism comprising of a rotary table that can spin about a yaw axis; a motorized pitch mechanism comprising a launcher mounting plate that can be oriented along any one of a range of pitch angles, where the pitch mechanism further comprises a bottom side, a top side, and a plurality of attachment provisions to attach the pitch mechanism to the rotary table; a motorized ball launcher mechanism; a ball transport conduit; and a motorized ball feeder mechanism. The ball feeder mechanism, ball transport conduit, ball launcher mechanism, pitch mechanism, and yaw mechanism are arranged and physically coupled in a top-down order along a vertical stack.
Slow pitch softball pitching machine
A softball pitching machine in accordance with the present disclosure is configured to lob a softball along an arcuate path with forward spin to mimic the motion of an underhand, slow pitched softball from a human pitcher. The softball pitching machine includes a throwing arm having a curved hand configured to move along a predetermined arcuate path to a preset stopping point that imparts the arcing path and the forward spin on the softball.
System and method adapted to enable simultaneous play of one or more sports games in the same facility with automated ball delivery, tracking and collection
The present invention comprises a unique system and method for providing adaptable ball delivery and tracking, including appropriate sensor hardware, interactive gameplay user interfaces and point of sales systems. The system and method of the present invention are especially relevant to baseball and softball as, among other components, the system comprises a vertical, ground-up soft toss ball delivery mechanism, automated player and ball-tracking devices, and ball-collection and transport systems. The ball collection and return components eliminate the need for fielders and enable the creation of the first batting range. The vertical, ground-up soft-toss pitch machine further enables the first multi-story batting facility with player batting bays that open onto a sports field. Further, certain embodiments of the present invention integrate hitting screens, augmented reality display and simultaneous coordination of gameplay and communication between players, regardless of the players' physical location.
Interactive volleyball launcher system
An automatic volleyball feeder system for setting a volleyball in the air to a player includes a volleyball launcher and a basket assembly. The volleyball launcher comprises an actuator assembly in cooperating engagement with the basket assembly to activate the actuator when a volleyball is received by the basket assembly. The launcher sends the volleyball along a consistent trajectory. The launcher is configurable to modify the height and angle of the trajectory.
NOVEL SYSTEM AND METHOD ADAPTED TO ENABLE SIMULTANEOUS PLAY OF ONE OR MORE SPORTS GAMES IN THE SAME FACILITY WITH AUTOMATED BALL DELIVERY, TRACKING AND COLLECTION
Training device to deliver sports balls for practice
A device capable of repeatedly delivering one or more sports balls to the user in a time-controlled manner that mimics a human toss, without the use of electronic controls or electronic regulators. The device may be customizable to fit the needs or preferences of the user, such as being collapsible, foldable, expandable, or otherwise able to increase or decrease its enclosed volume or capacity. Similarly, the height, angle, and elevation of the present invention may be adjustable through members that may also be collapsible, foldable, telescoping, or otherwise adjusted. Embodiments of the device include time control elements to restrict the delivery of the sports balls that utilize friction, air resistance, fluid resistance, magnetism, Eddy current braking, resonance, vibration, or any combination therein to influence the time control.
Basketball training system
A basketball training system can include a basketball training machine and additional features such as a user interface, a controller, and programming for using the basketball training machine.
