FILM FORMATION METHOD
A film forming method forms a coating film on a workpiece (e.g., a cylinder head) having a film-deposited portion (e.g., an annular valve seat part) by moving a nozzle of a cold spray device relative to the workpiece along a film formation trajectory having a film formation starting point and a film formation finishing point in which the film-deposited portion overlaps to form an overlapping portion. The coating film is formed by causing a raw material powder to collide in a solid-phase state with the workpiece and plastically deform. Also, the coating film on the film-deposited portion is further formed such that an inclination angle of an end part of the coating film relative to a surface of the film-deposited portion is 45° or less at the film formation starting point of the overlapping portion.

FILM FORMING METHOD
A film forming method forms a coating film on a workpiece having at least two film-deposited portions which are not continuous with each other by moving a nozzle of a cold spray device relative to each other along a continuous movement trajectory. The movement trajectory includes at least two trajectories corresponding to the film-deposited portions and a connecting trajectory linking the trajectories of the film-deposited portions. The film-deposited portions are formed by continuously spraying a raw material powder from the nozzle by cold spraying to form a coating film on each of the plurality of film-deposited portions. A turnback point of the spraying is set on the connecting trajectory where a relative speed between the workpiece and the nozzle decreases in the movement trajectory.
Ni-based alloy, and Ni-based alloy product and methods for producing the same
The present invention relates to an Ni-based alloy which is excellent in terms of wear resistance and high-temperature corrosion resistance and which includes 0.3≤C≤1.0 mass %, 36.0≤Cr≤50.0 mass %, and 3.0≤Al≤7.0 mass %, with the balance being Ni and unavoidable impurities, and relates to an Ni-based alloy product made of the Ni-based alloy according to the present invention, and methods for producing the Ni-based alloy product.
Method of manufacture and design of cast-in-place valve seats
A cylinder head having a cast-in-place valve seat for an automobile vehicle includes a valve seat having an inner wall. At least one retaining feature integrally and homogeneously extends from the inner wall. The valve seat when positioned into a casting mold has the at least one retaining feature assisting in retaining the valve seat in the casting mold. A metal in a molten form is received in the casting mold. A cast component formed after cooling of the metal has the valve seat cast-in-place.
Valve seat ring
The invention relates to a highly heat conductive valve seat ring (1) comprising a carrier layer (2) and a functional layer (3), wherein the carrier layer (2) consists of a solidified copper matrix containing 0.10 to 20% w/w of a solidifying component and the functional layer (3) consists of a solidified copper matrix which further contains, based on the copper matrix, 5 to 35% w/w of one or more hard phases.

Sintered alloy valve guide and method of producing sintered alloy valve guide
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a sintered alloy valve guide capable of inhibiting valve adhesion even in a high-temperature environment. The problem can be solved by a sintered alloy valve guide impregnated with a lubricating oil including pores that are sealed on the valve guide outer circumferential surface. More particularly, the problem is solved by the sealing step of performing a sealing treatment of pores on the outer circumferential surface of a sintered body impregnated with a lubricating oil.
Poppet valve
A poppet valve includes: a valve body comprising a valve stem body, a valve head body with a valve combustion face, and a valve fillet body interconnecting the valve stem body and the valve head body. The valve fillet body surface has an increased thermal resistance compared to the valve combustion face.
