The cam drives the valve to move by means of the intermediate swing arm. The roller assembly is supported by the cam, an eccentric wheel of the lift regulating mechanism and an intermediate swing arm roller. A peripheral surface of the eccentric wheel includes a lift regulating section having a start point and an end point, a maximum lift point of the lift regulating section is located between the start point and the end point, and the lift regulating section is divided into a first section which is convex and a second section having at least a part thereof concave.

An automobile vehicle overhead camshaft system includes multiple camshafts individually having multiple sliding camshaft barrels. Opposed ends of the camshaft barrels individually have a zero-lift lobe. Multiple actuators operate during a deceleration cylinder cut-off (DCCO) mode to slidably displace the camshaft barrels to position the zero-lift lobe of predetermined ones of the multiple sliding camshaft barrels into contact with at least one of: all of the intake valves; or all of the exhaust valves.

A variable-lift valve train for a gas exchange valve of an internal combustion engine includes a lift adjuster, a lift actuator, and a lift lever. The lift adjuster has a working curve that is arrangeable at least in a first working position for setting a partial lift and in a second working position for setting a maximum lift. The working curve has a lift region and a base circle region. The lift actuator, which has an actuating contour configured to deflect the lift adjuster. The lift lever, which is deflectable via the working curve and thereby actuates a lift of the gas exchange valve. The valve train is configured to, in the first working position and in the second working position, actuate the gas exchange valve with an at least substantially equal maximum valve acceleration.

A rocker arm can be removably mounted to the rocker arm jig. The rocker arm can comprise a radius on a bearing surface. A cam edge of the cam pin can press against the bearing surface. At least one measuring device comprising a wavelength emitting device paired with a wavelength detecting device can be configured to measure the radius of the bearing surface with respect to the pivot peg.
