VALVE TIMING ADJUSTING DEVICE
A valve timing adjusting device adjusts an opening/closing timing of a first valve driven by a rotation of a first camshaft and an opening/closing timing of a second valve driven by a rotation of a second camshaft. The valve timing adjusting device includes a first driving circuit controlling a first motor configured to generate a torque to shift a rotation phase of the first camshaft and a second driving circuit controlling a second motor configured to generate a torque to shift a rotation phase of the second camshaft. A first switching element of the first driving circuit operates at a switching frequency that is different from that of a second switching element of the second driving circuit.
VARIABLE VALVE DRIVE HAVING A ROCKER LEVER
The present disclosure relates to a variable valve drive for a lifting valve, in particular for a charge-exchange valve of an internal combustion engine, which is periodically movable between a closed position and an open position indirectly by way of a cam via a rocker lever. The variable valve drive includes a switchable rocker lever arrangement for the actuation of the lifting valve, having a transmission rocker lever and a valve rocker lever which are mounted pivotably on different rocker lever axles which are each parallel to the camshaft axis.
Valve timing control device for internal combustion engine
The present invention provides a valve timing control device that can suppress a leakage of noise to the outside of the device and can improve reliability without needlessly increasing the volume occupied by the device. There is provided a valve timing control device for an internal combustion engine, including a driving rotary body to which rotational force from a crankshaft is transmitted, a driven rotary body, an intermediate rotary body, a speed reduction mechanism, an electric motor, and a housing, wherein: the electric motor rotates relative to the camshaft and the housing; the valve timing control device further includes a current application switching mechanism which is provided inside the housing and which includes brushes to switch current application to a coil of the electric motor, and feeding mechanisms which are provided between the housing and an external device and which include brushes to apply a current from the external device to the current application switching mechanism; electromagnetic noise emission suppression means is provided on the power supply side of the brushes of the feeding mechanisms; and the brushes of these mechanisms are disposed apart from the rotational axis of the camshaft by substantially the same distance.
CONTINUOUS VARIABLE VALVE DURATION APPARATUS AND ENGINE PROVIDED WITH THE SAME
A continuous variable valve duration apparatus may include a camshaft, a first and second cam portions, first and inside brackets transmitting rotation of the camshaft to the first and second cam portions respectively, a slider housing of which the first and second inside brackets are rotatably inserted thereto, cam caps of which each cam cap engaging portion is rotatably connected thereto, a connecting bracket connecting the cam caps and of which a guide opening for the guide protruded portion to be inserted thereto for guiding movement of the slider housing is formed thereto, a slider pin rotatably inserted into the first sliding opening and slidably inserted into the camshaft, a cam pin of which a cam opening for the cam to be slidably inserted thereto is formed and rotatably inserted into the second sliding opening and a controller selectively changing a position of the slider housing.
Camshaft adjusting system and method for operating a camshaft adjusting system
A camshaft adjusting system includes a first electromechanical camshaft adjuster, which is configured for the adjustment of an intake camshaft, and a second electromechanical camshaft adjuster, which is configured for the adjustment of an exhaust camshaft. At least one of the camshaft adjusters can be operated as a generator and is linked to an energy store for the supply of energy to the other camshaft adjuster.
Motor control apparatus
A motor control apparatus for adjusting a cam phase includes a motor control part, which controls a current supplied to a stator coil by controlling plural switching elements forming an inverter to turn on and off. The motor control part stops the current supplied to the stator coil each time a motor rotates a predetermined rotation angle interval in a power generation control mode, in which a rotation torque is generated in a direction to impede the motor rotation. The motor control part maintains the power generation control mode when a rotation signal is determined as varying in a predetermined time period. The motor control part switches over an operation mode to a normal control mode to generate a rotation torque in a direction to promote the motor rotation when the rotation signal is determined as not varying in the predetermined time period.
ENGINE VARIABLE CAMSHAFT TIMING PHASER WITH PLANETARY GEAR ASSEMBLY
An engine variable camshaft timing phaser (10) includes a sprocket (12) and a planetary gear assembly (14). The sprocket (12) receives rotational drive input from an engine crankshaft. The planetary gear assembly (14) includes two or more ring gears (26, 28), multiple planet gears (24), a sun gear (22), and a wrap spring (76). One of the ring gears (26, 28) receives rotational drive input from the sprocket (12) and one of the ring gears (26, 28) transmits rotational drive output to an engine camshaft. The sun gear (22) engages with the planet gears (24). The wrap spring (76) experiences expansion and contraction exertions to permit advancing and retarding engine valve opening and closing, and to prevent advancing and retarding engine valve opening and closing.
Valve opening and closing timing control device
A valve opening and closing timing control device includes: a driving-side rotating body that rotates synchronously with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine around a rotating shaft core; a driven-side rotating body that rotates integrally with a valve opening and closing camshaft of the internal combustion engine around the same shaft core as the rotating shaft core; a gear mechanism that sets a relative rotation phase between the driving-side rotating body and the driven-side rotating body by displacement of a meshing position; a motor that enables displacement of the meshing position of the gear mechanism by rotating a rotating shaft; and a control unit that controls the drive of the motor. The control unit intermittently performs control to energize the motor for one phase for a predetermined time after the internal combustion engine is stopped.
ELECTRIC MOTOR
The disclosure relates to an electric motor having a base motor module and an electronic module. The electronic module is electrically and mechanically connected to the base motor module and comprises a printed circuit board and an electronics housing. The electronics housing forms two supporting surfaces, with which the printed circuit board can be brought into contact.
