TWO PLANE ACCESSORY MOUNTING WITH SLIDING PILOT INTERFACE
System and methods mount an accessory to an engine block having a pilot bore aligned with a first plane and sealing surfaces aligned to a second plane different than the first plane. The accessory includes a sliding pilot for interfacing with the pilot bore that is capable of sliding in an x direction yet fixed in a y direction with respect to the accessory housing. Interfacing the sliding pilot in a mounting position with the pilot bore along a z direction locates the accessory with respect to the engine block in the y and z directions. Fastening the accessory to the sealing surfaces of the engine block locates the accessory in the x direction with sufficient precision to mitigate gear backlashing and providing one or more fluid seals between the accessory and the engine block.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE FOR A SADDLE RIDING VEHICLE
In an internal combustion engine for a saddle riding vehicle, in which a gear transmission and a shift drum of a shift change device is stored in a crankcase, the gear transmission having a plurality of transmission shafts parallel to a crankshaft extending in a vehicle width direction, a single pump shaft common to first and second oil pumps is rotatably supported by the crankcase. First oil pump rotors of the first oil pump are disposed at a mating face of a pair of left and right crankcase half bodies. A second oil pump rotor of the second oil pump is disposed between a pump gear and the first oil pump and at a side surface, on a side opposite to the mating face, of one crankcase half body out of the pair of left and right crankcase half bodies, the pump gear being arranged in the pump shaft.
ELECTRIC OIL PUMP APPARATUS AND BASE PLATE FOR ELECTRIC OIL PUMP
An electric oil pump apparatus includes an electric oil pump including a housing main body that accommodates a motor and a pump driven by the motor, a flange portion formed on the housing main body, and a control circuit case for accommodating a control circuit, and a base plate attached to the electric oil pump. The base plate includes an annular main body fixed to the housing main body, and a sealing member located between the annular main body and the housing main body. The annular main body includes a first surface located on one side, a second surface located on the other side, a first through hole for passing the housing main body therethrough, and an annular stepped portion configured to accommodate the sealing member, and formed along an inner edge of the first through hole. The first surface of the base plate is opposed to the flange portion.
VEHICLE DRIVING APPARATUS
A vehicle driving apparatus includes a rotating shaft driven by the power source, a fluid pump driven by the rotating shaft. The fluid pump includes a rotor rotated by the rotating shaft, and a case. The case includes a discharge port configured to allow a fluid to be discharged therethrough, and the discharge port is provided on an inner peripheral surface of an insertion hole through which the rotating shaft is inserted. The rotating shaft includes an attachment portion fittable to a shaft hole, and an internal flow path configured to allow the fluid to flow therethrough. A supply groove is provided on an outer peripheral surface of the rotating shaft, and the supply groove communicates with the internal flow path. The fluid pump is attached to the attachment portion of the rotating shaft such that positions of the discharge port and the supply groove in an axial direction of the rotating shaft overlap each other. The attachment portion is provided on each of both sides of the supply groove in the axial direction.
Lubricant change system for power transmission equipment
A mobile vehicle lubrication unit for serving power transmission equipment elevated above ground level such as conveyors whereby the lubricant containing gear reducer unit is disposed in an enclosed body mounted on an upper portion of an elevated conveyor. The system includes a manifold system connectable to trailer mounted storage tanks for lubricants, pumps, filters, air supplies and supply lines, and transfer means mounted on a truck or trailer including side access to the control panel and transfer hoses enabling the user to transfer lubricants to elevated equipment such as conveyors by pulling along side of same. The device changes, filters, and replaces the oil in a reducer gearbox or other lubricant containing equipment which is not easily accessed from the ground level. Air presssure is used to evaculate used oil from the conveyor gear motor and/or reducer units and replaces the used oil with filtered or new oil through oil lines and hoses with quick disconnects which may be positioned on a manifold at ground level having oil lines in fluid communication with the gear motor/reducer unit.
Dual input pump assembly
A pump assembly, comprising a pump and housing having an inlet passage and an outlet passage. The pump includes inlet and outlet ports and opposing first and second drive inputs configured to be rotated together in a pumping direction to operate the pump. The pump can be installed in the housing in a first orientation, in which the first drive input is configured for being rotated by a drive source in a first external direction to operate the pump, and a second orientation, in which the second drive input is configured for being rotated by the drive source in a second external direction opposite of the first external direction to operate the pump. In both the first orientation and the second orientation, the inlet port is in fluid communication with the inlet passage and the outlet port is in fluid communication with the outlet passage.
LUBRICATION STRUCTURE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A lubrication structure for an internal combustion engine includes a crankcase, an oil pump, and a relief valve. The crankcase is configured by connecting an upper crankcase on a mating surface of a lower crankcase, and has an oil pan. The oil pump and the relief valve are installed in the lower crankcase. The oil pump sucks oil in the oil pan through a suction passage, and discharges the oil into a discharge passage. The relief valve performs a valve-opening operation according to pressure of oil in the discharge passage to return surplus oil in the discharge passage to the suction passage through a surplus passage. These passages are formed in the lower crankcase. A relief valve housing section housing the relief valve, and the surplus passage allowing the relief valve housing section and the suction passage to communicate with each other, are provided to communicate with the mating surface.
ASSEMBLING APPARATUS FOR OIL PUMP
An assembling apparatus for an oil pump, intended to mitigate noise and vibration of an oil pump that is built in an oil pan may include an oil pump provided in an oil pan, a partition wall partitioning an internal space of the oil pan and formed to partially surround an external surface of the oil pump, thus supporting the oil pump, and a shock absorbing member disposed between an external surface of the oil pump and the partition wall to be in contact therewith.
